Would there, or would there not be, lawsuits if they took away the blood transfusion ban?
by VerdadTJ2 ini have heard or read, many times by many exjw's, that the org does not remove the blood transfusion ban because it would be crippled by the resulting lawsuits the minute that "new light" was made official.i am not a lawyer, but i would like to know what legal opinion lawyers have on that.on what legal basis would there be a lawsuit?
"i am suing the watchtower because my relative died because of a rule they had but no longer have"?am i missing something?.

fragrantademdem...so what if you and the kids go to the funerals. stay outside and let them call the police. ( set up in advance to have a newswriter, photographer with you. That would be a hoot if you are up to it. So maybe not the funeral, but the graveside. They surely don't have jurisdiction over who can go to a grave yard. or what about funerals at funeral homes? You know, you could write an editorial to the paper about the funeral .

New instructions on not using sisters to manage KH computer ?
by fifth.column insince covid in france, especially in the countryside with lack of brothers, it was quite common that some sisters were using the computer at the back of the kingdom hall to manage zoom session.. i heard a rumor that new instructions, maybe a july letter, stated that this was reserved for male only, even unbaptised publishers, but no sister if there is at least a male available.
that would be a steps back and disappointment for these sisters.
last week i heard at my mom’s house how they were happy that this service was available for them, a proof that the org was moving forward.

I read Atlantis's posting...thanks Atlantis...I had a thought about the sisters not being able to have the "privieges " in the congregations--don't feel so put out "sisters", you can still mix cement, drive heavy equipment, lay roofing, paint, paper, shuttle drive, lay brick, tie rebar, lay tile, pull electric wire, etc for the new constructions ( which some of the young lads can't without a parental approval ) You can cook for the brothers, clean, and mow grass! ( you just aren't allowed to be of use during meeting )... ( is there something wrong with this picture?) I remember them saying women couldn't have teaching positions--ok...but carrying mics or handing out literature isn't exactly teaching. Now then,if a woman has a student part on the meeting, is she really not instructing the whole congregation for good or bad? A sister can't sit managing a sound booth, but she can pull her elbow out of joint working contruction. ( I know of a case ) or dig ditches in the hot sun. Don't you love how considerate of the sisters JWs are.

Punkofnice, they wouldn't have come save for being obediant to the 9 headed god they worship that is trying to change the old rules of conduct in order to soften judges/jurors for to win monetary lawsuits. ( I bet I didn't bust your bubble.) That is one thing all the faded or df need to understand...if they get a visit, it really isn't about trying to help them. MONEY<MONEY<MONEY I hope the ones who came by with a convention invite come back...I have more to say!! (not holding my breathe )

Marking has it's merits IMO
by enoughisenough init would appear the context about marking has to do with those who are not working to feed themselves, but meddling in others business.
a couple more scrptures to think about.

blondie, do you think I haven't been there? I was even set up by elders-they were looking for a way to get rid of me over 25 years ag0....now I wish they had succeeded! All you have to do is wage an honest complaint against one of their own in the good ole boy's club. So if someone objects to the word, mark/marking...find another word for it, but I would be willing to wager on one level or another we have all done it. ( again, maybe not the same animal the WT promoted.)

peacefulpete, I agree with your statement...a church shouldn't label people...but on an individual basis, we may have good reason to avoid certain one. " and from these turn away". I wouldn't condone labeling others who have a different opinion either. We should have different opinions. But let's not make excuse for really bad behavior. The JW strain gnats and gulp camels. Talks about dress, grooming, education, fine homes and autos, expensive vacations, etc informed whom you may want to mark, and at the same time if serious wrong was committed, it was keep your mouth shut and don't bring reproach on God's organization. ( don't inform the congregation if there is a pedo or a con artist among them.)

It would appear the context about marking has to do with those who are not working to feed themselves, but meddling in others business. A couple more scrptures to think about. Jesus said not to throw your pearls before swine. ( so you have to identify the swine ) This scriptual thought: having a form of godly devotion but proving false to it's power and from these turn away. So, how many of us have not been around toxic people and we just don't socialize with them. We may be cordial if we have to work with them, but are we inviting them over to watch a game? I actually marked someone. TRUE STORY TIME One Saturday I went to the Hall for service. Only me and 3 brothers showed up ( so all in same car group ) before the service meeting, I told the brother who was going to handle it that to fit the 3 brothers in the car and I would make other arrangements- I wasn't going in service with Brother C. Later that day, the COBE called me and questioned me about my stand to which I replied the Bible says a man who doesn't take care of his own is worse than an unbeliever. Bro C had 4 sons and his first wife died. He married a sister to have a mom for his boys. Her youngest child at home (15 years old ) was let to go live elsewhere.) Bro C was married to the woman more than 30 years. The sister ended up with altzheimers. She was in her 80's and if memory serves 10 his senior. He got fed up with her and took her to her Son's home. Her son worked with me. He got home from work and found her wondering around bewildered not knowing where she was or what was going on. So she came to live with her son. Bro C took an ad out in the local paper he wouldn't be responsibe for any debt other than his own. She had no income save her Social Security going into a joint bank account that she now had no access to. Her Son, daughters and myself pooled money to open a bank account for her so her social security could go into that account. In a short while, Bro. C ended up in the hospital and an elder who visited him at the hospital called and said for her Son to go and get her personal things from the house or he ( bro C )was throwing them out when he got home the next day or so. Her Son sent me to do it because he didn't want to give his stepdad cause to find fault with him.
( I should mention Bro C had been an elder in a congregation in another town but had not yet been reappointed in the local one after his move. He was a pioneer.) Her four grown children had meetings with the elders in protest of the way the man was allowed to just kick his wife of 30 years to the curb. He may would have been relieved of being a pioneer, but he died of a heart attack after working all day in Kingdom Hall remodel. The publishers in that local hall all looked up to him and his reputation was sound- the rumor going around : it was her children who took his wife from him! I heard it a few years later when talking on the phone with a publisher there after I had moved away. They were telling me what a wonderful brother he had been and how his wife's kids hijacked her away from him. I set the person straignt. I had gone and got her clothing and her family albums from the home so he wouldn't throw them out Do you think this can get worse? such hippocrites! Bro C left the home to one of his sons who was and elder and who had worked in oversea's branch work, etc. Bro C, brother-in-law was a CO. After Bro C death, Sister C's daughter took her to the house to get a few more things that had belonged to her mother. The wife of the Son had already packed up to take a nice set of dishes Sister Cs children had bought for her. Those dishes were not easily retrieved, but the daughter did manage to get them . Sister C picked up a candle stick to take, but the son who had inherited the house wouldn't let her have it because he said it was a friend of his that had given it to her to start with. The CO brother in law was siding with the Son in not allowing Sister C to take many things. So you have a pioneer elder son and his pioneer wife and a CO brother-in-law and his wife stealing from a dear ( and she was a lovely person ) old sister with altzheimers, not letting her take items that had been hers when she lived in the home.) Do I want anything to do with these people? absolutely NOT -had a form of godly devotion but proved false to it's power. ( I was in 50 years-I don't have good stories to tell) Did you ever "mark" anyone? Why?

So if someone has sinned enough to be "removed", he can still get a greeting if he shows up at the meeting, or he could be invited to a meeting by others...and even the elders will call on him to see if he has a change of heart....BUT...If one officially removes himself, he is deemed not fit to live and God forbid a JW speak to him Or engage on social media with him. I hope the courts aren't fooled by the word "removed", because we all know it is word play. Removed sounds like, just let go ( kinda like fired ) without any other repercussions. Disfellowshipped sounds like what it is...no more fellowship. The words changed, but the result is the same. Surely an astute lawyer can see through this word play. WE can! We are not fooled. JWs will be fooled because they wrap pretty scriptures around it and the JWs aren't informed as to the legal battles that brought on these word changes. I don't know if any JW see my fb page or not, but I have posted on it not to be fooled!

JW practticed food distribution deception
by enoughisenough ini watched a video which i will link about deception jw used when distributing the farms to families food boxes.
i remember thinking at first the branch had purchased food and gave to the jw rank and files out of love for them during the pandemic.
because i was online, i did note about trump's program and figured out the jw just distributed the food for the government-even being vocal about it when others were saying how wonderfully jehovah provided for his people.

How many of you thought the food was from Jehovah via his organzaiton. Video link is interesting because he has first hand info as to how far the org went to hide where the food actually came from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSbF0GR1ExA&t=13s
