DarleneGatus....unbelieving is evidently not the worst sin...because it is written a man who doesn't take care of his own is worse than an unbeliever. ( you are right to be disgusted with the shameful way pedophiles have been protected.)

Why are so many Jehovah’s Witnesses Angry and Rude?

another thought: that is the person they really are when no one is looking...just put on their happy face for others in the KH. I knew a man who was a "hateful devil" with his wife, but the friends at the hall thought he was wonderful...generous, and fun, helpful to anyone in need.

Jim, regarding the thermostat...put in a baby cam and see if she is changing it and just not realizing it...on another note
in 1887 a man was sent to prison for killing his wife. A "ghost" told her mother that he had killed her. She pestered the sherriff and they exhumed the body and found she had a broken neck . He was arrested and was tried and sent to prison. His Family never thought him guilty. He supposibly died in prison, but there is also a school of thought that another prisoner died, and he got sort of swapped out with a different identify. Google The Greenbrier Ghost or the book The Man Who Wanted Seven Wives if you are interested...I don't know if they still do, But the theatre group in Lewisburg WV made the story into a play. I watched the play. I read the news stories. I read the Book in which family was "misquoted" according to My Aunt who was interviewed. The man in question, "Trout" Shue was my grandfather's uncle.

other: they are taught by the GB to consider us filthy apostates...not deserving of life...so it is ok to be rude, even hostile. -

Are you driven by vengeance or Payback?
by Fisherman in“there is nothing more ironic and curious than a trapper being caught in his own trap or a plot backfiring.
ironic justice is the best revenge.” the inventor of the brazen bull, one if the most heinous torture devices in history was tricked to go inside of it and died of the torture he created.. probably one of the greatest movies ever made features revenge as its theme: once upon a time in the west.
sadly in this movie the main character doesn’t rely on ironic justice happening by god or chance.

my mate and I were in a motel room for the night...2 beds , a bedside table apart. We each took a bed. I wasn't quite asleep when I felt I was being cozied up to, you know, warm flesh against yours... That was ok, until I noted I could hear my mate breathing/snoring from the other bed. So I joined my mate!

question for those who either aux pioneered pioneered
by enoughisenough inhow many of you would have spent the hours "pioneering" if it weren't for the pats on the back and being looked up to as someone special in the congregation?
i will admit that back in late 1970's i attempted to aux pioneer during a campaign because it was promoted and seemed the right thing to do,but i didn't get the hours and it was stressful trying to...and i didn't feel like a cheerful giver.
i never attempted it again.

phizzy "right thing to do" yeah, there is a lot of emotional blackmailing going on in the org-guilt tripping people into even selling their homes, taking advantage of others and taking odd jobs, etc. to continue to do it. But it seems to me, there were the Kudos---the organization has special meetings/schools for them. Others in the congregation put at least some of them on a pedistal. ( Pioneer only parties or maybe dinners where only pioneer and elders/family were invited.) James said not to be comparing ourselves with others, but the org itself sets up these divisions. I personally never fell into the trap of thinking the elders or pioneers were better/more spiritual minded than me.-Bible says there are gifts in men, and not all have the same gifts..( that being said ,I don't think for the most part that others considered me "spiritual minded".) I also felt that some of the pioneers were more judgemental of others who didn't pioneer and even had a jealousy over other pioneers. -some who have pioneered can speak to that......

desirous of change "Elders are also the "glorious ones". Best not speak poorly of the "glorious ones". That's grounds for DFing." I was set up once. The elders were trying to get a reason to axe me. I got a call from an elder in a congregation next state over. He knew of somethings going down in my life, but not sure exactly the how of that. Anyway, I was a bit suspicious of his call. In course of conversation, he ask Me, " are the elders there doing you any good?" --clearly a fishing expedition to get the goods on me for speaking against the "glorious ones". I was on to him! I said, "No, but they aren't doing me any harm either."
