there was a Brother in a Hall I used to go to who seemed to get off on giving the talks about sex..( and he had a very jealous wife...she told one sister that another sister there should have a scarlet A on her forehead -just needlessly jealous! or maybe not since he got off on giving those sex talks.)

Virgin or whore complex that Witnesses have made my married life difficult!
by Witness 007 inso was a virgin when i got married but my wife studied later in life and had been married for 6 months and had two boyfriends in her past.
my strict witness mother hated my wife and thought she was not good enough for me.
she thought all worldly women were dirty whores who cannot keep their vaginas to themselves.

Another congregation closed
by hoser in15 years ago there were 5 congregations now there is only one and it is still struggling.
congregations closing their doors doesn’t mean business is good.
it looks like this last one to fold had no young witnesses, they either left the religion or moved.

a question in my mind is, are they closing because of the consolidation of halls, or the lack of people at meetings? I think it is consolidation...have people drive longer distances. I think the closing is about Money. I know of new halls that were built with less then 50 usually attending...I started out in such places. I wonder what the attendance would have to be for them to say sell! I think it is sad for those who still believe to have the local places they worked to build, paid for, and kept up to be sold out from under them...they were scammed in order for org to get control.

new angle, if you want to make friends with jehovah and jesus we need more of your unrighteous riches .
apparently jehovah is in the protection racket now.

FedUpJW as to cost of the assemblies had continued...I remember reading or watching a video, at all in circuits are assessed a seat cost if you will. I always wondered how come every assembly there would be an announcement on how the expenses for that assembly had not been met. JW owned the building and it was occupied most weekends, so with all the people and donations, how much does it cost to keep the utilities and upkeep of this building? It was a scam from the beginning as to what I remember being told when they were planning to build the assembly hall in Salisbury NC. We lived 4.5 hours away. (I pulled my elbow out of place working down there ) The story went like this...we would own the building so the circuit would save money by not having to rent National Guard Armories or civic centers. So the circuit was asked to pool manpower and money to help build this. We went from traveling 1-2 hours to a meeting place to 4.5 hours. (meaning motels for sure) I was told that building was paid for and more at or before the finish. They sold off enough plots around the property to help with that. So I was surprised when we get to this place all bought, built, paid for had high expenses...I know this experience isn't unique to me.

they don't beg for money...they just tell you to give in order to be God's friend. more like extortion! Emotional blackmail! and you can just sign up so a monthly donation goes in without you thinking about it...but you should think about it every so often so you can raise the levels if you make more money. There was a time I thought my donations went to a good use. I thought they went in and rebuilt homes of the friends after disasters ( then learned they wanted the insurance money!) Now so much is going for lawsuit with victims. It's good to be awake!

Personally I would never trust a married person who was willing to be treacherous with an existing mate. It they would throw that person over for you, then they would throw you over for their next flame. Instead of regrets, you might consider you dodged a bullet. ( and that person wouldn't trust you either knowing you were willing to break up a marriage ) -

if you are inclined to write him, I would first try to find out if he is still married. You also wrote how he cried when he thought his wife was cheating and said he didn't want to lose her. You of course know what you sensed, but I don't think he had the feelings for you that you think, It may be he just thought you a safe companion because he thought you had principles. As to marrying someone you grew to love over time and they you...I can speak to that...it turned out a nightmare! All this being said, if you find him free, go ahead and write ...nothing ventured, nothing gained. My sister had a boyfriend when she was 14 and Daddy broke it up. She had another Man friend ( I think she was 16 and he in his thirties ) and my Aunts took her to another state to break it up. Fast forward over 30 years and he meets Mom on the street and he inquires of her and Mom gives him contact info. He sends for her. They live together until he dies and he left her with a home and a little money. She is sad and sick and alone and the first man she dated when she was 14 learned about her situation from family members and he invited her to church. They married...not for long because she ended up with lung cancer and died. I just think it interesting the full circle she made with these to men from her youth.

The JW governing body are ALREADY priests!
by BoogerMan inhow many jw's are aware they have "priests?".
w02 5/1 p. 16 par.
9 jehovah hates the course of treachery - "comparably, for more than a century now, the anointed brothers of christ, those with the heavenly hope, have served as “a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to god.”.

Picking at Listener's highlighted post from 74 4/15 " they enjoy spiritual enlightenment "....."Being spiritually enlightened and fed, they enlighten others......." ........ " As ambassadors of God these priest help others to become reconciled to him" ....Some statements I pulled out, but really the whole paragraph is, for want of a better word, an abomination. Notice they point to 2 Cor 5:20 to back up the claim they are ambassador of God. The scripture:
2 Corinthians 5:20 New International Version - Bible Gateway
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.Do you see what I see here? They have skipped Christ.Listener, Good point about the females! -

that quote from 2002 saying they have served as a holy priesthood for more than 100 years...obviously so much was the group think, some of us (ME) gullibly let it roll off like water on a duck's back...if we had given any real thought to it, we would have rebelled! Group Think is pretty powerful stuff and everyone looking at the same printed material and parroting it. It's like the mocking bird news-the whole media reports the same falsehoods and the world believes it. We should be looking behind the curtain on just about every subject. Anyway, if I had really given any thought to the printed statement, I would have rejected it.

Before I got here, I checked out some reddit postings...lots of angry, rude people there...and some here as well . Also, before looking at any exjw sites, I would notice comments on videos which were obviously from ex jw, and they were usually somewhat hateful.
