they are lead to believe they must do it in order to prove they worship God. The spiritually weak are the ones who miss the meeting. They don't want to be seen as spiritually weak by the judgmental " brothers and sisters", but rather obedient to the GB. Also, they aren't allowed friends outside the cult, so they go to see the only friends they are allowed to have close association with ( and then they still have to be choosy)

Why do Jehovah's Witnesses attend so many meeting?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inronald curzan ( helper to the teaching committee ) gives a talk on the real reasons jehovah's witnesses should attend meetings.
it looks like the zoom meetings have softened up many witnesses.
many are probably turning off their cameras and zoning out.

Can you answer my questions, please?
by Sandie ini have three questions.
i would be most grateful if someone could respond for me, please.
thank you.. 1. can jehovah's witnesses practice faith with the bible as a guide, or is it crucial to include the teachings of the watchtower society?

# 1 in 1935 the was the Walsh trial...you can find it online . 3 heavies ( Fred Franz, Grant Suitor, Hayden Covington.) at the WT testified that witnesses had to believe the WT without question over what the Bible said or they would be kicked out and Hayden Covington testified if you didn't believe the WT you were deserving of death. Everyone should read some their testimonies... I didn't know they existed until this year. If I had read it 50 years ago, my life would have been much different. (the same holds true today...you can't question what they teach...you become a filthy apostate the God is going to destroy. (filthy apostate is a description used by JW to describe ones who wake up to the lies of the WT)
#2 I never read where Jesus claimed to be God. I have read where he said the "Father is greater than I am" I have read where he claimed to be God's Son. I have read where Jesus is subjected to God ( 1 Cor 15:28 ) It becomes apparent that confusion has been the result of translation, or maybe it was written to confuse to start with. But I think throughout there is more evidence for a Father/Son relationship than for Jesus being almighty God. Even in creating man, it reads : let us make man in OUR image...( didn't say let me make man in my image )( Gen 1:26). There isn't anything really mysterious about a Father/son relationship, but it gets to be a real mystery to explain Jesus being God and not being able to do anything without his Father, and why would he subject himself to himself....( some will disagree- each to his own -some here don't even believe the Bible or in God) If I had never been a JW, I would still never have believed Jesus is God Almighty.
#3 per JW-the 144000 become sealed and their eternal life is guaranteed...but the others that survive or are resurrected have to endure the final test at the end of the 1000 years.

Did it ever become unbearable to attend another Kingdom Hall meeting?
by RULES & REGULATIONS init's becoming unbearable for me to attend another meeting.
i dread coming to the weekly sunday public talk and watchtower study.
the talks are ''repeats'' of a ''repeat.

Maybe not a meeting, but the broadcast updates with c 19 and vx....that really ticked me off...they were laying guilt trips on people to coerce them into doing what they wanted them to do and saying it was God's or Jesus will. Just a twisting a scriptures .....

I would say they have the money to build it...they are worth billions and rake in more money everyday. The congregations are under obligation to send in x amount per publisher ( is that every month?) I think so. I saw a chart once and the US congregations pay if I remember, but don't take it to the bank , $8.75 per publisher ...even it you say it is $1 per publisher over the world, think of the money that generates a month. That doesn't count all other methods of getting money. That is one reason I decided to disassociate-I didn't want them to get the $8+ every month for my seat!

The use of "Stumbled" as a Control Technique.
by Phizzy ini thought about this when i read the expression in another thread, "someone was stumbled", they would never tell you who the person was, and simply used it to control you, or it got worse, some times it was "you might stumble someone" .. who were these stumbling loons of which they spoke ?
not only was it a control mechanism, it encouraged you to not be your real self, ever.. i liked the response of one of my jw relatives to this, where they expected him to change the person he was, he said "these people accusing me are not perfect are they ?
no, well then, they cannot expect perfection from me".

As far as WT is concerned, I wondered what it would take to "stumble" me...I was married twice--both families were JW ( that's how I got involved to start with -another story) These families proved to be some of the most unprincipled, and often dishonest people I ever knew. My worldly relatives were more honorable! But I always thought I wasn't worshiping men, but rather God. So it took me 50 years to realize that the JW religion is a Con...It wasn't the bad behavior of other members that took me out, but the realization of lies that were told in the name of God Almighty by the GB. Thank you GB for exposing yourself so plainly that I woke up! The sad part is the GB have stumbled many to the point it has destroyed their lives.

WT Ruining Members' Futures
by HiddlesWife inwhat i mean by the title of this thread is what has happened to a relative of mine, one who is really upset about this factor:.
this relative is a distant cousin on my mother's side of the family.
she studied as a child and got baptized at 14 1/2 years old.

for some reason I couldn't go back and edit what I wrote 30 minutes ago...It seems to me I came to learn that the society does provide a bit ( haven't a clue how much ) to retired circuit overseers. I learned it this way...I was told the retired CO that lived here locally didn't need the money and would donate it back to JW...I wondered at the time, why not give it to this widow of a deceased CO who had nothing but a suitcase of clothes. Maybe some could speak to the income of Circuit overseers and retired Circuit overseers. ( and what other titles did the JW support? missionaries? special pioneers? ?? because I don't know.

I knew a woman who was living on the kindnesses of others. She did some work but she was in poor health, so not like she could hold down a real job. I don't know her entire history so as to know how long she was married to a circuit overseer and in the work with him( and my understanding is he wasn't kind. ) She took care of him until he died and there was NOTHING for her. I think she ended up with the very lowest social security...She moved around a bit between those that would help her...I hope she found a good place...but the friends ( or someone) would definitely have to help her. While she was here, a sister spent her own inheritance helping her with a place to live and making up easy work for her ( this kind sister is barely able to care for herself at times) There is nothing for those who accept greenhandshakes and live on the kudos of others once they get older and turned out to pasture. In the Bible, the widows were to be taken care of if they didn't have family to see about them...there isn't any program for assisting in the JW...if you don't have family, just get the social services and don't forget to donate! I used to think it wonderful that after disasters the brothers would go and repair homes...I didn't know the end game was to collect homeowner's insurance.

Does praying for “all those who are in positions of authority,” include the 'deep state' and all subsequent coverup's?
by was a new boy indefinition of deep state.
: an alleged secret network of especially nonelected government officials and sometimes private entities (as in the financial services and defense industries) operating extralegally to influence and enact government policy.
the power of the deep state comes from experience, knowledge, relationships, insight, craft, special skills, traditions, and shared values.

from the videos I have watched, my conclusion is : the whole thing was an inside job...it lead to excuses for big brother to watch and censor you. Deep state behind it and c19 ??? I think yes! They want to create fear and control the masses, not to mention the lives that were lost in their endeavors.

GB pushed the vax
by Diedsuddenly ini remember during the pandemic the gb updates got progressively stronger pushing the vaccines .
they even had experiences of some who were reluctant to get them and then due to the gb keep saying fully vaccinated these poor jws went out and got all the catch ups shots and even all the boosters.
i remember someone making a compilation video showing all the gb update clips of the gb pushing the clot shots, even tony morris saying the words ‘go get vaccinated’.

RE people at Bethel not having issues....what we need to remember is not all shots were the same...they had different levels of poison in them, some even placebo. I watched a video where a nurse who was giving the jabs telling about higher officials ( if you will ) were sent to another room to get a jab from a different vial number. So there was some knowledge...for example people in red states had more bad reactions than blue states. So if we were to "conspire" that the GB is in bed with the worldly powers that be, one could conspire the doses they got were safer than the general public. The rank and file would think the Bethelites are fine, so all is good...a perfect ploy to get the sheeple to take the shots. Another thing to consider is the jury isn't in. These jabs were experimental in nature and the long term effects aren't in yet. I watched a video of a guy who was in a group of healthy people 10 years ago who took MRNA vx and he was the only one alive of the group after 10 years and he had had all sorts of health issue and showed scars when he had undergone various surgeries. It will be interesting to see how many who took the jabs will be alive in 10 years. (but by that time it will be called by another name. Even in the short term, people don't want to own the vx causing some of their present health issues.
