My thinking is they talk like the listeners are small children.

I hate the way they talk.
by Riley inwhat is with the jw cadence when they speak.
do they think they are teaching people ?
they sound like pro wrestlers doing promos or shakespearean actors.

Nobody else understands
by ElderBerry inif you once were fully pimi and truly believed jw doctrine to the core like i once did, when you come to the reality that it is not the truth at all it can be extremely devastating.. i think only other ex jws could ever understand.
i wasted my entire life i thought the real life was yet to come to wasted the best years knocking on doors.
now i’m so angry.. i can understand why so many top themselves when they realise it was all lies..

I wasted 50 years! I think myself an idiot for not getting out sooner. The cracks were there, I just ignored them because I knew men were imperfect. At anyrate, try not to beat yourself up or be depressed about it. Instead of woe is me for all the nonsense I have seen over the past 50 years, I am thankful to be out. Try to view it from a point of gratefulness and thankfulness and gladness not to be their slave...FEEL BETTER not bitter.

We’re getting out.
by MissDaSilva inbeen in for 20 plus years but decided to get out with my son.
can’t do this anymore.
never seen such hypocrisy and clickyness anywhere else.

MisDaSilva--the real reason to get out isn't because you can't take it anymore, but the simple truth is, it isn't the "truth" and never has been. I wish I had read the history before I wasted 50 years of my life and made bad choices because of the JWs that left me homeless for awhile. It isn't God's organization( according to the Bible, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life-not a man made organization.)

Life in a spiritual (UN)-paradise
by Reasonfirst ina long, long time ago, when i was young, i became a 'special' pioneer.
it meant that i had to spend 150 hours a month, and i received a small allowance.
i was then assigned to a small country congregation, in western nsw (australia).

I never could figure out where that "spiritual paradise" was...the more I got to know people, I could discern their unchristian behavior-the selfishness, greed, lying, theivery, immorality.

the GB updates woke me up when they were promoting the jabs. People could get df for smoking, using drugs, or alcohol because it was harmful to the body, yet they promoted jabs that injured and killed saying we showed we had faith in God if we listened to them. There were always things I thought they were off the mark on,but you know they always said to wait on Jehovah...what fools we have be made! Yes, Get yourself out...you will feel better.

If 1914 gets tossed
by Leathercrop init feels like the change in reporting of hours becomes a fundamentally bigger deal every day.
the weight and importance placed on quantity was enormous, and now it's just gone.
even tho most witnesses really didn't keep "accurate" records so to speak hehehe.... this could very well be a precursor to even bigger doctrinal changes, like 1914. damn, would would happen then?.

if 1914 gets tossed, r and f will become discreditied apostates if they show others publications where it was published as God's truth...just like other bygone dates

Is There Going to be Money in the New System?

DIY ( build your own house and live in it , plant your own vineyard and drink the wine you make -so who needs money when you are so self sufficient!)

the name Jehovah: magical?
by enoughisenough indidn't know the best subject area to put this question under....i was listening to a discussion on youtube the other day while working, so not getting every point ....part of what was talked about was the word jehovah, ( not being the most accurate translation of yhwh ) was however pushed by illuminati /secret societies for its use in magic.
(as i informed, i wasn't getting the whole conversion as i also had attention elsewhere and some of the conversation was hard to follow.
) so i am wondering if anyone on here has more information on the subject they care to share.

Sea Breeze, thanks for the link...I made up a FB post and linked the article. Most of old JW "friends" unfriended me, but you never know who may be checking you out on FB. The other thing is, I want those who do see the postings to have reasons not to get sucked into the religion.

They may not come right out and say it now, but they appear to be working up to it ...the message seems to be to give more than you have been giving. Thought: since the r and f aren't having to report time, likely they won't be in "service" as much, they will have more time to earn money or at least spend less as they aren't driving as much-so the org. knows they may have a bit more change in their pockets- the org WANTS that money!
