From where I sit, they can celebrate whatever they want. They aren't anymore hypocritical for celebrating xmas than Christians ( maybe less ), because the whole thing is lie upon lie: not really Christ's birthday, not Santa and his tiny reindeer going down chimneys, no elves at north pole, so Santa going to answer the letters children send to him. The Bible story of Jesus birth is distorted in nativity scenes and church plays.( Jesus said the Father wanted to be worshipped in spirit and in truth )

At our zoom assembly ( 2021/ I think ) anyway, the circuit overseer gave a talk about trusting Jehovah. He said we had to trust Jehovah and if we did, we would trust the GB. and to obey them and take the vaxx. So in other words, if you don't take the vaxx, you don't really trust God Almighty.

he told me he expects to lose his job at some point in the next 5 years, as the accounting dept, will disappear, as all accounting will be done by ai programs, so why teach it.. if his fears are correct, that means that any profession that involves the mind, may one day face the same future.

I don't remember the movie, but when I think of this A1 business, I think of "dissasemble #5" So many years since I saw the movie, but the robots decided they did not want to be dissasembled and sought to protect themselves. There seems to be some merit to the thought of Hollywood and future developements. ( that is scary since there are movies about sombies AND the CDC considers that can become a reality.)

my take on it is if you were a polite mannerly person before leaving the JW, that is still the sort of person you are. If someone seems to be different after leaving the JW, they are likely just being their true self that they hid as a JW-but finding out they have been made a fool of for years fuels the bad behaviour/attitude. Just an opinion, but I have read enough comments on this page to discern that even when IN the org they had bad attitudes. All that being said, why should be expect goodness to come out of a bad organisation. I looked for good while inside, but I could write books about the spousal abuse, perversions, theiveries, lies, etc. Their personalities changed with the clothes they put on/ took out for meetings. So who are/were they /we really? ( so much for knowing it's the truth because of the love among themselves.)
