Teddnzo, must be different for some, because I am just sure I would have had to pretend I supported the lies...

JW profit from disasters
by enoughisenough insome time back i questioned about jw making money from doing relief work for disasters.
i found this story on reddit and also noted some of the replies.
it makes me wonder how many would have left their own jobs and paid their way, giving free labor and some supplying free materials if they had know what was going on behind the scenes.

Is Jesus God?
by Sea Breeze ini know that a lot of historical names have claimed to be a god.
but, jesus arguably claimed to be god.
scripture says he's the creator.

I was listening to a Bible and History scholar today and he said the translator of Genisis got it wrong where it said In the beginning God created.....he said the word translated God was plural so should have been rendered, in the beginning Gods created....this made sense to me because later on we read , let us create man in OUR image. So there was more than one creating. Prov 8:30 speaks of a master worker with God that God possessed at the beginning of his way (Prov 8:22) I think it correct to consider Jesus a God, just as the Bible says there are many gods and many lords, but Jesus himself said he was God's Son and he didn't do anything of his own initiative, but did his Father's Will.

I have some questions about the Org.!
by KerryKing inare any or all of the gb from jewish descent?.
why are they so fascinated with following ancient jewish 'principles' ?.
isa 43:10, 44:8 ' you are my witnesses ' which they based their religious identity on, jehovah's witnesses, yet those verses address the jews, not christians, which they profess to be.. jesus said in ac 1:8 'you will be witnesses of me ', .

I agree there is something sinister about the org. When they can get up and plainly show they are following the world while condemning r/f for having "worldly" friends or sharing in events with their " worldly " families and blame almighty God for every false hood they have published.( because he didn't reveal the whole truth to them at once )..that is just evil. Not to mention, they literally promote hatred and judging. ( it's so plain to see once you get out!)

I had this thought: if you have to pretend to be something you are not in order to have friends, you are putting yourself out there to use and to be used...so when that happens, what right do you have to cry the blues. It truly is sad people feel they need to do this...such is the life Of PIMO. They know their friends and family would drown them in a teaspoon of water in the name of love for their god ( GB ) No wonder there is so much depression among the JW

truthlover 123 Johannes Greber New Testament translation was an influance in the NWT. His wife was a spirit medium and she helped him in some areas of the translation...Widipedia :In 1923, he attended a séance and his life was changed. He renounced his vows and left the Catholic church. He emigrated to the USA in 1929 and began a nondenominational church, with prayer and healing sessions in Teaneck, NJ. He later worked on a translation of the New Testament, publishing ‘’The New Testament, A New Translation and Explanation Based on the Oldest Manuscripts’’ (1935). He claimed using the oldest sources available including the Greek codex D. Where a meaning was not clear, according to his prologue, he received supernatural guidance as he translated, after much time in prayer, with his wife acting as a medium, and with visions of the actual words given to him on occasion. “In the rare instances in which a text pronounced correct by the divine spirits can be found in none of the manuscripts available today, I have the text as given by the spirits.”[1]

From where I am sitting it denotes spiritism. It seems they are hiding what they really are in plan sight. Note definition:What is the meaning of Channelling?the practice of professedly entering a meditative or trancelike state in order to convey messages from a spiritual guide. Not too long ago I posted about a bethelite who was channelling art/characters. -

it's a cop out! they publish lies and if you dare to complain, wait on God to fix it. Then there is new light and you have to run to catch up with the chariot!

Conversation with old friend

we talked about the recent changes in the 2023 annual meeting.

when I was leaving, I told a certain person ( who then ratted me out -which I knew would happen) about all the lies that we had been teaching over the years. They told me they had seen things in the WT they knew wasn't right-but didn't point it out to me because they knew I would make something of it. They told me, they were imperfect men but were running Jehovah's perfect organization. ( people don't realize how stupid that sound)
