Help! Mike & Kim videos all being deleted by Youtube

due to watchtower flagging the mike & kim videos on youtube for copyright, youtube is giving them 6 days before they are shutting down their entire youtube channel.

can you help with a mass downloading program and then reuploading them on a mirror ?

would hate to lose all those good videos!

Yes. But they need to do this lawfully, i.e. without infringing on any copyright laws.

In 1914, 1917-18 and 1925, WT faced crisis due to doctrinal reasons and power struggles, with more than half of the WT HQ directors purged, many prominent and true believers leaving the fold, branch office managers becoming apostate, etc. However, as said above, they had their business and money to fall back on. They survived that debacle because of money and not because of their members.

Now, WT may have problems with money, but they have a core group of believers who will not leave no matter what. No high level defections have happened in the recent decades. Normal JW's are not dependent on the WT for their daily financial and family needs. Hence, even if the WT stops printing and publishing altogether, publishers will still go on preaching as usual with whatever they have and whatever WT gives them. JW's dont have any problems whatsoever to simply go to the door and ask the householder to download things from jw.org.

So the WT is doing what any organization will do. If they have stopped their publishing business, it makes no sense in having huge printeries and printery staff. Cut back and downsizing is the best way. But all of this would not make much difference to a normal JW. It is just the matter of changing his presentation style during his field service. Instead of a physical book, he will have to show things from his tablet or smart phone. Most JW's have already transitioned to this style of witnessing.

Looking at the cutbacks and predicting the end of Watchtower is like looking at the natural disasters happening around and predicting the end of the world.

JW's hear about earthquakes and hurricanes and start thinking that the end of the world is near. Ex-Jw's look at the yearbook stats and predict that the end of WT is near.

The greatest asset that WT has is believers. No matter what happens, no matter how many fade away, a core group of strong and true believers will always be there to prevent the org from collapsing.

2017 Kingdom Hall in Chile with Flag with Meeting

this year we had pictures and video of three different kingdom halls with the flag!.

As employees, JW's are allowed to raise and lower the flag on public buildings (offices, schools, etc) where they work if no ceremony is accompanied with it.

have da'd myself nearly 3 months ago.

now i am part of this world but i feel myself the odd one out.

Just go to the internet and see how many abortions take place each year in the name of "unwanted pregnancies". Reported vs Non-reported. Actual killing of human life..err..sorry...Medical Termination of Pregnancy.

Funnily, you will find people who will condemn the killings mentioned in the Bible but condone the abortions taking place. People can justify anything for their own benefit and cause.

john 1:3 states in the nwt, "all things came into existence through him, and apart from him (the word, or jesus) not even one thing came into existence.".

the wt states apart from him one thing came into existence, that is, jesus the first created being.. is there an explanation for this apparent contradiction?.

Was there really a specific request for money in this week's meeting?

The money is for the Global Assistance Arrangement (GAA) which was started in 2015 and replaced the already existing Kingdom Hall Assistance Arrangement (KHAA).

The GAA coincided with the revised Kingdom Hall Fund (KHF) that was in operation for 30 years. That was the time when all Kingdom Hall Loans and mortgages were cancelled and congregations were asked to pool in resolved funds monthly towards this cause.That was also the time when the "Contributions for Kingdom Hall Construction Worldwide" box was removed.

The reason given for this was the bible text 2 Cor 8:14: but that by means of an equalizing, your surplus at the present time might offset their need, so that their surplus might also offset your deficiency, that there may be an equalizing. "
