Another ploy was to place hundreds of back issues each month by inserting them up in the corrugated roof slots of the roadside picnic and rest areas along the highways. Going on a nice long drive counting service time was really great!!!

Once I placed some magazines at the Laundromat, got on the road and drove three hours to another town to give the Pubic Tlalk. Gave the talk, ate a meal provided by some sociable Dubs (sat next to a student and conversed with him, counting my time), drove back home, and checked my mags at the Laundromat. 6:45 for driving and talk plus 45' talking to study = 7:15 service time just for that Sunday. Not bad. It was like getting three oranges on the Theocratic Slot Machine. It was so ludicrous I forgot about it until reading this topic right now. Freedom never felt so good!

The only drawback to Caller ID I've experienced is when the call is from UNKNOWN CALLER or BLOCKED CALL. Sometimes it's a friend, but usually some Outer Space Disk Jockey doing a digital recording of my breathing pattern (no one answers when I say Hello) so it can be used against me somehow later by SomOne or SomeThing.

Giving Up Smoking

it will be the third time, but this time as part of a government sponsored training course with drugs and patches supplied etc.
anyone else given up and got any helpfull advise?.

I gave up smoking in order to become a JW. It worked!!! Now after so many years of being a JW, I don't need to be one anymore, but I do not need to smoke anymore either. So I gave up a bad addiction and my free mind as well. But now the free mind is returning and I sure hate cigarette smoke. That was really some tradeoff.

Perhaps lawsuits against WBTS could be successful as Class-Action suits. There are plenty of people on this board who would love to see them sued for various abusive scams they are guilty of. Perhaps if someone from this board contacted an attorney, some progress could be made from that point, at least us becoming educated about chances of suing the WBTS, perhaps even making some progress to that end. "Ex-JW's of the world, Unite!"

The biggest mistake I made was imagining that the WT is a SPIRITUAL organization. I finally admitted to myself after years of disappointments, receiving and observing abusive practices within the Borg and my own self-deception that it's anything BUT spiritual. It's more like an abusive self-serving plasticene social club that tries to present a spiritual facade to the world, and it's all for the benefit of the prominent ones in the Borg that do not have to work in the world and pay taxes, all at the expense of the lowly publisher. And the WT has always prided itself on how JW's do not harbor a "clergy class." BS, BS and more BS!

A CO or DO does not have to drive a car older than 3 years of age. Thanks to WBTS and Circuit Leasing. I got so sick of seeing the CO's late-model Pontiac or Olds in the KH parking lot and realizing that MY contributions paid for it, that was when I got the chance to have my first CADILLAC (older model of course), and I felt relatively better for a while at least. GOD, they pissed me off, with their Billy-Graham-or-Malcolm-X-like stentorian tones from the platform!! Especially when they sed "Jeehovah Gawd". God, get me the fukken-A outta here!! I think sweet Jesus would be different than this shit!!
