"Just think of all the disappointed young JWs when they get this news."
Yeah, they will no longer be able to freeload off duped donators.
i found this out from my brother-in-law, an elder at bethel.. he says that the wtb&ts has hired outside printing compan(y|ies) to print their bound volumes only.. i do recall when i was up in ri, that a brother worked for a printing and binding company that the wtb&ts hired to print the greatest man covers.. also regarding dumping people at bethel -not true, he says.
however, they are not accepting any new people.
for individuals who want to stay they can.

hey fry day & you know,.
how many "infidels" had to fry to bring these many smiles.
to the faces of you two, and all your brothers and sisters?.
INCINUATED means "burned to a crisp" of course.
passing this on.... .
losing my religion.
it was 1994, my first year in college, well, my first year in four-year college, anyway.
Hi Valerie:
Very moving story. How the "shepherds" are just spiritual Mafia, FBI, Secret Service, KGB, etc, etc, who enforce the Rules and Regulations but do not really love the Sheep. Welcome to the Real Life.
Picosito: ex-Del Rioan.
why is it important to be able to spot a sociopath?
the basic reason is that they can do enormous damage to you.
they can ruin your life.. what is the overiding characteristic of a sociopath?
Perhaps the WTS could be considered as a spiritually sociopathic organization.
holy smokes: did moses and king solomon smoke pot?.
working in the publishing business has its perks, and one of those is getting to see new releases of books that sometimes never land in the bookstores.
today, i happened to be reading through some product literature that i had put off for some time and discovered a book that was published a few months ago about the usage of drugs in the bible.
I did a Google search on "kaneh-bosm" and indeed came up with lots of links. Thank you for opening up a new window in my awareness. It really helps many things to fall into place.
sociologically speaking as a religion, the jw's are at a threshold of continued cultishness and obscurity, or re-oriontation to a more 'mainline' christian religion with its own unique distinctiveness.
i say the wt will take the middle ground....
The middle ground is the yellow line down the middle of the highway. You can get smacked by traffic from both directions.
i finally got my big bend pics up.
when you have a free moment check them out.. http://www.sassquatch.com/bb.
sincerely, .
Nice pics, Valis.
I made the mistake of going there:
(1) In August. The heat was unbearable, except up in the Chisos.
(2) As a JW. Missed out on Smokey and Mescalito.
Maybe I'll have another chance.
ok, i am going to play devils advocate and ask the question: are the jw's correct about anything?
surely there has to be something that is commonly agreed upon to be correct.
i am not talking about what current jw's say, i am not talking about simple things like: read the bible, or be a witness.
Becoming a Dub got me to stop smoking.
hmmmmm............ although a lot of factors weigh in on a person's reaction to shunning, who is guilty in the end?.
i was wondering what the bryant's jw family are thinking, but reverting to my old jw rationale, "that's what happens when you leave the organization.
" i am horrified at what i could rationalize for the society.. maybe dave and the rest who attended the services can help someone in the family who was reconsidering jw policies.
When I DA'd myself I was already shunning THEM, so they could be under MY feet and not ME under THEIR feet. It's worked. I feel really free and am recovering well from all the emotional and mental crap I suffered under THEM.
I know a couple of JWs who still consider me their friend and don't give a crap about official WT policy. Maybe some day they'll give it the boot also.
is there any particular speakers that you remember as being outstanding?
what was good about them?
did they use interesting illustrations?
Sydlik was pretty cool, also Baxter, CA DO, who loved to do the "sounds of the swamp [the world] beckoning us to come in: WadeIn -- WadeIn -- KneeDeep -- KneeDeep; WadeIn -- WadeIn -- KneeDeep -- KneeDeep ..." with a deep resonant voice.
Pretty cool speaker, but not too approachable afterwards -- like he was Charlton Heston or somebody.
Feels so good to be a humble frog now.
