I wonder when was the last time they repeated the 1914 77week 2000+ years from 607 doctrine? Should be easy enough to check. Is the strategy not not address the problem and hope if it’s never mentioned the problem will go away?

If 1914 gets tossed
by Leathercrop init feels like the change in reporting of hours becomes a fundamentally bigger deal every day.
the weight and importance placed on quantity was enormous, and now it's just gone.
even tho most witnesses really didn't keep "accurate" records so to speak hehehe.... this could very well be a precursor to even bigger doctrinal changes, like 1914. damn, would would happen then?.

JWLITE
by Teddnzo ineven elders can be part of the new jw lite brigade these days.
they don’t need to go on door to door anymore and there is no requirement for anything really.. taking meeting parts is all dead easy you could turn up on the day with zero preparation because it’s all in the meeting workbook.. quarterly elders meetings are just old men having a good old natter just like old men do down the pub.. congregations could be likened to pubs or bars these days just without the drinks, those come at other times.. no need for territory maps, these almost went away with covid letter writing now they are extremely slow getting finished as those who still go door to door only do ten mins.. you could even voice your questions these days about things the gb say and then just say “we can’t be dogmatic we just don’t know”.
i predict they will say this about 1914 soon..

“what will you do when your elders find out your on apostate sites--and talk to other congregation members ?“
Q. Is it a judicial matter if a baptised publisher openly says they sometimes read apostate websites? If that’s all they admit to, and they can’t be accused of causing division in the congregation? Or they openly admit to the elders that they have doubts about 1914 and if that was wrong then doubts about almost everything? But they will not talk to others in any way that they could be accused of apostasy or causing divisions?

Usually with cases like Lloyds the mother gets custody. He must know full well that his daughters when old enough will find out all the skeletons in his sex worker closets.
He destroyed his family with his infidelity with sex workers local and abroad. He is a narcissist, claiming it was his wife’s fault somehow. When his kids are old enough to find this all out one day online themselves, will he decide to completely abandon his family?

They have said in recent writings that Micheal who they think is Jesus fought with Satan and the demons and threw them out of heaven about 1914.
This was a huge change now they are using the word about before they say 1914.
How on earth does that fit in with 607 and the 77weeks thing? And the 1919 when Jehovah chose the one true religion?
Could they possibly change to about 607 and about 1919?
We always used to say that WW1 started because Satan and the demons were thrown to earth. Now they are using the word about you can’t say that anymore.
other things they can change but not this, if they were wrong about 1914 they everything else with fall apart.

When field service plummets, I wonder if the GB will reinstate the reporting requirements?

In the past they double down on being harder, you have to do more, could you do even more, you have blood on your hands if you don’t do enough ect.
These days it’s the opposite. They are now trying the exact opposite tactics to try to keep the numbers from falling off a cliff.
2023 AGM is all about how it’s much easier now to make it through to paradise. Even disfellowshipped ones and unbelievers could come into the truth last minute and make it. This is basically saying lighten up everyone could make it last minute so it’s not that important to do anything right now.
Covid changed everything everybody loved no ministry or meetings and just a good gossip on zoom instead. While the boring meetings are on turn camera off and do something else, then come back during the social parts of zoom.
Now there is a real hard push to get everyone away from zoom but once you have opened that can worms there is no going back.
Its getting cold now in many places and publishers are preferring zoom again but the elders are saying dress warmer and go back out on the doors.
The elders are trying to get away from zoom, but it’s impossible now. If they said no more zoom you would lose the half the congregation that are only staying because of zoom.
The older hard ass elders are dying out and the younger elders are a new generation who the new lite from the new members of the GB. It’s much easier these days, don’t waste to much time or energy just enjoy your life and if the JWs were correct (unlikely) then you could jump last minute.
JWlite is better than completely leaving in my opinion. But if someone wants to completely leave that is fine as well and if the JWs turn out they were correct then come back last minute 😀 👏

Field service has absolutely plummeted. This was before non reporting. Saturday morning groups are now like “who is going on first call?” Oh nobody. Ok well let’s meet at Sister so and so for coffee at 11. Everyone is doing ‘calls’ or street work.
JWLITE is actually happening in real time. Even the PIMIs are becoming JWLITE without knowing it.
In our watchtower study today someone said at a birthday party they said no thank you to eating the cake now but they would bring it home and have it later. This sort of thing would have shocked old school PIMIs but JWLITE is becoming the norm.

Who will be killed at Armageddon?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif the current doctrine is that only baptised witnesses are going to survive and everyone else burns them what about this new update new light that some from before the flood and sodomites will be resurrected?.
but didn’t he mention at the agm something about there is no point jehovah killing them and then resurrecting them again?
it seems they are confused about what they teach and that’s why brother jackson joked about “is this what we used to believe or what we believe now?”.
-
ElderBerry
There is some confusion over what is the new doctrine now. So Jeffrey Jackson was very sarcastic about the old light that some hoped unbaptised ones would die before Armageddon so they could be resurrected, He said almost shouted in a very loud sarcastic voice “but that’s not fair”
Now I think they are saying we can’t be dogmatic and we don’t know. But we know the old light was wrong. That is the new light. That’s it.
I think they are trying to do damage control as so many JWs are really starting to think about things without just blindly following and it really doesn’t make sense.

What would happen if the vast majority slowly becomes JWLITE? Perhaps this is already happening.
To leave entirely is not necessarily the best option, now that the option of staying in JWLITE is on the table.
It would be great if there was a secret code or something that someone could drop into conversation without risking getting called into the back rooms
A code for example “I love the new light at the 2023 AGM about last minute repentance” this could be all you need to say then someone else who decided JWLITE is the best way would say back “yes it’s encouraging how Jehovahs chariot is on the move”
this could be the secret code PIMOs show each other that they are in the know.
