Funny when he talks about brother Rutherford wanting to break away from brother Russel and he uses words that could be talking about himself when he says he was a narcissist

JWs and Coping with Reality
by Vanderhoven7 inbecome a jw only if you can't cope with the real world.
i believe i picked this up here but can't find the thread.
i think it worth a repost.. “top ten reasons jehovah's witnesses can't cope with the real world.

Everything in that post is absolutely true except the beards which needs updating now.
This is a very very deep subject but here is a deep question to ponder. What if JWs are happier believing the lies the GB say?
Yes the red pill reality is more scary than the safe blue pill that GB offer.

Yes there are many revisions, I had so many revisions in my old elders book that everyone on my body of elders ordered a new book. Now I even have a load of paper revisions to put in my new book.
It mainly the attitude of younger elders that is changing compared to the old dinosaurs who haven’t yet died off.
Younger elders are far more understanding and don’t make a huge fuss over things that were blown out of all proportion in years past.
We all know teenagers get up to stuff and this is normal. Why push them out of the congregation when they are doing normal teenage things.
There does seem to be a huge change to try to keep younger ones in the congregation as so many don’t stay.
I wonder if the truth be known how many couples in the truth haven’t don’t stuff

Steve Lett doesn’t look well
by Teddnzo inas soon as you see steve letts talk at the agm you think to yourself “oh my, what’s happened to him?.
his hand has plasters and his skin doesn’t look healthy, like he has inflammation or something serious going on.. he had put on weight and is all bloated and puffy .
his skin really doesn’t look good, the kind of inflammation many people notice after the experimental covid vaccines.. there have been very high numbers of people reported inflammation after the experimental covid vaccines.

Inflammation from the lethal covid injections is what is causing so much health problems and excess deaths. It certainly looks like Steve Lett is fully vaccinated up.
It would be good to see pictures of all the GB before the lethal injections and then after. Steve is a good advert for protecting your family members from the GB direction to be fully vaccinated

GB Doesnt Believe in 1914 Anymore My reasoning
by thedepressedsoul ini have heard a lot of talk over the last year or so if the gb will eventually ditch 1914 and some have even made the claim that most, if not all of the gb do not believe in 1914. ive given this some thought and in the past i wasnt sure.
this annual meeting puts 100%, without a doubt in my mind that the gb do not believe in 1914. id even go as far to say that they talked about that date and have a game plan in mind.. here is why i feel this way:.
there were a lot of changes with the parables at this annual meeting.

The GB are absolutely trapped. If they ever admit they had it wrong about 1914 then that is admitting all apostates were right.
Just think about the repercussions of all the apostates shouting about JW doctrine is wrong about 1914 all these long years and then the GB admitted to it. That would be the end of the cult.
But the longer they leave addressing the elephant in the room the worse it will be.

“I suspect that new guidelines are in the making to reduce judicial triggers and the harsh penalties for every infraction imaginable.”
This is happening slowly. The secret elders book keeps getting revised versions every few months and these revisions are not making things more strict but far easier.
There should be hardly anyone getting shunned anymore due to the JD changes. For example if someone says going on a JD would make them feel suicidal then it won’t happen until they feel better. If they never feel better I guess it won’t ever happen. Basically a loophole which means no more shunning anyone anymore.

The "Problem" With Zoom
by XBEHERE inhere is the org's problem with zoom, attending this way does not fit with their "scriptural definition" of a christian gathering.
at least not anymore, one thing my pimi wife is fine with is attending on zoom occasionally, even 2-3 times a month or so.. if some of you recall, during covid there were break out rooms setup for people to stay on and associate.
many would also stay in the main meeting and talk over each other trying to say hello, etc.

Zoom meetings is one thing but zoom ministry groups is another.
with zoom meetings you can only chat to each other a lot before and after the meeting it’s not a good catch up at all.
zoom ministry is as long as a couple of hours having a good old natter. We sometimes do breakout rooms.
it’s just an idea but there is no reason why you couldn’t have unofficial breakout rooms during the meeting just like sometimes people go out to the parents room or outside the hall for a talk during the meetings
you can message someone else on zoom and ask if you can give them a call during the meeting and both just leave your zoom on and your cameras off

Who will be killed at Armageddon?
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inif the current doctrine is that only baptised witnesses are going to survive and everyone else burns them what about this new update new light that some from before the flood and sodomites will be resurrected?.
but didn’t he mention at the agm something about there is no point jehovah killing them and then resurrecting them again?
it seems they are confused about what they teach and that’s why brother jackson joked about “is this what we used to believe or what we believe now?”.
-
ElderBerry
“sick to hear Jeff Jackson mock the old light how stupid it was. This is actually extremely disturbing him saying “we know what you were thinking” some were hoping these ones would die before Armageddon! This is actually really sick when you think about it“
-
yes it is disturbing. Who are the current GB mocking themselves or the people stupid enough to have followed them? They are actually ridiculing the old beliefs that if you hoped someone died before Armageddon then you were stupid. But that is still the current official teaching until the new light is released and it still hasn’t been released yet.
Unless someone watched the leaked videos they still trust the GB and hope their loved ones die before Armageddon or they will be killed by Jehovah and have no hope of a resurrection

Nobody else understands
by ElderBerry inif you once were fully pimi and truly believed jw doctrine to the core like i once did, when you come to the reality that it is not the truth at all it can be extremely devastating.. i think only other ex jws could ever understand.
i wasted my entire life i thought the real life was yet to come to wasted the best years knocking on doors.
now i’m so angry.. i can understand why so many top themselves when they realise it was all lies..

SUNK COST FALACY - the phenomenon whereby a person is reluctant to abandon a strategy or course of action because they have invested heavily in it, even when it is clear that abandonment would be more beneficial.
This is true of many things. Should you leave your long time marriage mate, your long time job, should you move to another country, should you change your religion,0?
You can’t be certain it’s more beneficial it’s a huge risk you may regret. Should I stay or should I go. If I stay there will be trouble if I go it will be double

Yes there are a Vidiot. When you think about it, JWs are some of the best people on Earth. You know they are the most honest and trustworthy people. I know not perfect but Id say the most honest and trustworthy group of any on earth today.
Walking through busy metropolitan areas I see the clothes most people wear today and then I say a load of cart witnessing groups, a few different languages and English cong was there. Made me look and think about those poor misguided souls.
but at the same time I thought they are dressed so presentable and look like such good people
