If this is your view, you should not belong to any religion. You cannot claim to be unsure and then remain in a group that follows a specific set of beliefs.

This is precisely what I am challenging. You are 100% wrong sir.

I Know for a fact that many if not most members of all belief systems including atheist and theists do not claim they know the entire truth without any doubts.

If you do claim that about your belief system that you currently have then you are a fool.

The course of wisdom is to realise that nobody has the entire truth about how the universe started. No matter what your current belief system is.

Most Churches or other places of worship are full of people who may go through the motions but they are basically PIMA just like me and most JWs today.

Many xJWs are thinking the cult is like it used to be when they were in it. I have tried to make it clear that this cult is changing so rapidly it’s hard to keep up.

this cult is now ok to have people like me as elders when I never would have been before when it’s clear I have doubts about the GB.

so many boys with bum fluff trying to grow a beard but they are too young to have a beard - they are all elders now.

the COs are like mid 20s they can’t grow a beard either most of them are still too young.

they are trying to go for a younger cooler more relaxed vibe but it is still a cult.

perhaps it’s not such a high control cult anymore but it is still a cult. I find it very interesting

I am referring to specific doctrines and policies that you can absolutely make judgments about. Your continued avoidance of this part of the discussion makes me think that you don't have an answer for it and are deliberately ignoring it. But this flies in the face of your claims that you're just agnostic and no different from anyone else.

Im not interested in any of that and most of us who choose JW lite are not interested either.

No matter how much you try to tell me I have to fit into your box you put me into I will always say no I’m just not interested in that.

who cares what some fat old men in upstate NY say or don’t say, I’m not interested in them at all. Most of us who are PIMA are not interested either. The GB are becoming more and more insignificant

I cannot get over the non seriousness of Elderberry. How long have you been in the org? How long an elder? Your responses are mostly off the cuff, no deep thought, just that everything is ok, easy going, so what.

You are exactly right. You just gave a great description of JW lite but you show you still do not understand it yourself.

There are many aspects to being a in depth full time elder- a responsibility Jehovah gave you to carryout fully.

when you say this you prove you do not understand PIMA. My belief system is that I don’t know if Jehovah even exists, so what you say doesn’t apply to anyone who chooses JW lite.

Being an elder or MS is completely different these days to what many on here still think it is. There are boys in early 20s trying to grow a bum fluff beard who are elders.

even more boys so young they can’t grow bum fluff who are MServants. Just so they can be an attendant on security to talk to the single sisters their age 😆

just think about how things have changed and the trajectory the Borg is on?

For those who have been out for years they just do not understand what the situation is now.

I love it, and if it wasn’t for all these changes then I would be physically out by now. But due to the lightening of our loads, due to the admittance that we simply do not know so many things, and due to the fact that we can express doubts and admit we don’t know this is why I’m staying physically in and mentally agnostic

Yes, churches are filled with all kinds, they are not houses for saints. The difference is that if you belong to a church and have differing opinion and voice it, you will not be punished for saying so. You will not lose your children, you will not be encouraged to leave your spouse because they are a 'spiritual endangerment' , you will not be disfellowshipped.

Carla none of this happenes in JW land anymore, I’m not too sure it ever did actually I think you exaggerate.

The new way we have lots of spouses who are openly JW lite and some who are not so easy to tell.

i think it’s ok to openly talk about what the GB keep on repeating “WE DONT KNOW”

things have changed so much. There is no more disfellowshiping. It’s actually very hard to be announced that someone is no longer a JW.

in the rare event that happens the elders have to jump through hoops doing what they can to help and encourage that one to return.

There is no way to demonstrate this. I think you are stating it because it makes your stance seem more common and therefore the dishonesty is less of a problem.

It’s not dishonest it’s actually being really honest

I’m 100% certain that the majority of most belief systems whatever they are if you believe in intelligent design if you believe in evolution you do have an element of agnosticism to it

If you do not, you’re absolutely sure that you have the whole truth about how the universe started and everything then you are a loon in my opinion

Most people in the world are not loons and they are like Me they have a general belief system but they’re humble enough to know that there’s probably more to it. They don’t have the whole truth whatever your belief system whatever religion or non-religion. You might be in it it’s far better to have some agnosticism the humility to see. I’m not sure it might be right. It might not be there is probably more to it.

I think what many fail to realise is how much JW land has changed of late.

It is ok to voice doubts these days. We often openly say what if the end is not right around the corner. Our kids may grow old in this system.

what if we don’t have the correct understanding about this scripture ect.

At the end of the day things have changed so much in JW land that it is now ok to be JW lite and be just like many other religious belief systems.

Of course if you say things apostate then you will be treated just the same as any other religious belief system and they will say so why are you still coming here then? Best if you stop coming to the church, mosque or KH ect.

you actually get love bombed even more if say your faith is weak and you are just not sure anymore. You get treated so well now, in the past they wanted you out.

this is the largest U turn in the Borg. There is a huge retention effort. It’s very hard to get pushed out compared to the past. Only if you are apostate, or committed serious sin and are not repentant. In this case it’s just a 90day sanction and people still talk to you at the meetings.

then the elders and their wives and friends love bomb you even more. You get invited out all the time.

No you are wrong .Most religious groups have large numbers of people who are agnostic if they are honest with themselves.

please don’t make the mistake of calling everyone who goes to a church or place of worship a hypocrite if they are PIMA to that religion.

The truth is most members of any religious organisation including JWs are actually like me, they are PIMA if they are truly honest with themselves.

I think the majority of Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu and all Christian belief systems have members who are like me, they are PIMA. And all the other vast number of belief systems when they have places where members gather to practice their religious beliefs.

Not one of those comments could you say in a kh and NOT have repercussions as many here live on a daily basis. If you went to a normal church and said " I think it is all b.s

This applies to the majority of belief systems where they gather together somewhere. If members were honest they would say they are PIMA but they go through the motions because that is what agnostic is all about. This is exactly what Pascal’s wager is.

As I keep saying everything you say applies to all belief systems including what ever belief systems you choose now and I don’t even know what you currently choose to believe about how the universe originated.

At least I am being honest with myself and I have reached contentment. I have found stability in Pascal’s wager. I’m agnostic but take the wager that maybe God is real I just don’t know. I will live my life as if he is real but I’m humble enough to realise I just don’t know.

JWs may be right about some or many things but they may not be. I just don’t know. I will not do anything that I don’t agree with and keep a low profile I say no to pretty much every thing I get asked to do that I’m not sure about.

I do take lots of meeting parts and do a lot of shepherding work. When I try to help someone who is going through a hard time I use Pascal’s wager. They don’t know I’m agnostic this is exactly what pascals wager is when you fully understand it. I talk about the Bibles promises with certainty that this is what the Bible says. This brings great hope and comfort. I love studying the Bible with my congregation.

Anony Mouse everyone wants to pin the blame of all the bad things on something. Many pin on Satan there are some who pin them on Jehovah. I’m agnostic so yeah, you go ahead and pin the blame on whoever you want.

If you want to pin the blame of all these bad things on the JW religion then who am I to say you are wrong.

I take offence to your accusation that I am defending the JWs, nothing could be further from the truth. You obviously still do not understand PIMA or what the new JW lite really is.

But I’m not trying to change your mind you go ahead and believe whatever you want and I will choose to believe what I want, which is PIMA.

There are so many bad things in this world and everyone wants to pin the blame somewhere.

Satan is convenient if you believe that. I’m agnostic which means it may be true or it may not be.

You win some you lose some.

Try to find peace and contentment and realise that you don’t have the entire truth about the matter of how the universe started, but don’t worry nobody else does either. Always be sceptical and think it may be true.

that is the entire point that you missed. JW lite literally means you are not sure. PIMA means exactly that, we are not sure.
