After a long fade, I DA'd myself last month. Puzzled as to whether the announcement has been made, as I have been visited 2x this past month by some from the congregation that shares the hall I went to. Memorial invitations, but they were very friendly & talkative. One couple neeeded to use my facilities. I might mention it if they ever come back.

I was not Catholic before becoming involved with the WT,I was a Methodist, but I know what you are feeling. If you have a deep desire to participate, and you feel it is right, I hope you can get past the WT programming and do it. I wish to take communion, but have not yet found a spiritual home where I feel comfortable. I feel that I have missed out all those years of following Jesus command when I was ignorantly following the WT false teachings. Getting past the guilt brought on by the false teachings can be the hardest part. I hope you can find the strength to do what is right for you. rudered

by slimboyfat ini met a jw in town yesterday while i was wearing this t shirt.
it didn't even occur to me it was a problem because it is a joke , but he seemed really annoyed about it and kind of cut me short.

I think it all depends on where you live. In some places it seems the jw's are stuck in a weird time warp, in others, they have seem to have more common sense. blond-monent, I had a strange experience like your "pregnant" one. I had to get to a restroom in a hurry( too may cups if tea in service), and said I had to pee deaperately. A teen-age girl said she had to pee as well, and her Mother ler her have it!"What have I told you about that word?!" blah, blah blah. I felt bad, but thought the Mom was a jerk. They can be a strange group sometimes.

My Wedding Anniversary
by TOTH ini am happy to announce that today marks 22 years of married bliss to the most beautiful girl on earth.
my lovely wife was always being harassed by the local overlords for wearing too much makeup, having her hair too wild, and for not being submissive to them.
when we began dating the overlords pressured me to get her to change.

That is so sad! How old is the child? Glad he has normal friends to hang out with, that way he will not miss being ignored by the youth at the hall. I remember 1 elder & 1 pious sister at the old congregation. So proud of their teens spirituality. Then would talk about how popular their kids were (they were in High School). I remember the elder nudging his wife to tell others how his son was voted best looking in his Senior Class ( Not a small school). Hmmm. Interesting! How did these spiritual kids get so popular with their peers? Through all the witnessing they were doing at school? Don't get me wrong, they were nice kids, but they wanted to NORMAL!! Guess the old saying it's not what you know, but who you know might be true?

by Wishididntknow inafter a terrible break up and being away from the congregation for about 10yrs i started to think about coming back.

Keep doing your research and reading the Bible without WT aids. Please try a version other than the NWT. Perhaps the NIV. Someone on here very recently told me to take notes on what I was reading. .Tremendous help to have those to refer back to! I have learned so much from the people on this forum. It's painful to realize things are not what you thought they were. Please take the advice of jwfacts & read Ray Franz books. They are written without malice, just presenting the facts. I wish you all the best on this journey.
