  What do they want from me?

  okay, so the jws (and my mom) would be so happy if i started going to meetings again.

  i've made it clear i don't believe what they say so why would they care if i went to meetings?

  do they want me to go meetings and be an open dissenter?

  stomach issues getting worse

  i have not been able to post for a while due to my health issues.

  i am in need of prayers because i am still having problems with diarrhea and very bad stomach cramps every single day that will not go away and my gastro doctor has taken me through stool tests and x-ray tests and cannot find out what is causing the diarrhea at all and i have been crying because the diarrhea is very bothersome.

  i also need some prayers because i really need to know someone that has gone through the rny gastric bypass surgery and has had their gall bladder removed because i have a lot of questions.

  Dismissing has a very good suggestion in trying to get a second opinion.

  Just a thought - is it possible you have celiac disease/gluten intolerance? It seems to be on the increase, and stomach pain can be a symptom. Hope you feel better soon!

  Will the Watchtower Society benefit from the looming financial collapse?

  if you have your eyes and ears open and can put 2 and 2 together, you have like many of us, have figured out that there is an impending financial collapse in the united states.

  the type of financial collapse that likely has never been seen.. whether you believe this is being done intentionally by global power hungry groups bent on bringing us to our knees, in order to push their agenda, or whether it is being done out of carelessness and stupidity is hardly relevant at this point.. the writing is on the wall.

  experts (and all who want to) can see it , high level officials expect it, and are already implementing the contingencies that are needed in order handle the civil unrest that will ensue.

  on friday the 1st of march, i went to my cousins 21st birthday celebration - she has never been a jw.

  my other cousins (twins) were introduced by my mother to the faith over 20 years ago (they are now 38) and got baptised when they were about 19. they both weren't that "strong" in the faith and married "worldly partners" and stopped going to meetings.. they knew i had left and i presumed they knew i was disfellowshipped for apostacy.. at the party the one twin came over to me and we chatted about life etc and she says "oh carl is going to start studying" - i looked at her a little odd and asked what it was as he already had a financial degree.

  "no silly, he is going to study the truth" my face must have been a picture and in a very high voiced squeaked why would he ever consider that, he is an intellecutal guy....... she continued about how the people had changed and were so much better than when we were younger.

  That whole birthday thing just sounds so strange! Do you think it's legit, or something an elder told her to bring her back in? And Jah wants his servants to be younger? Did she explain what that means? Does it mean that the general population of witnesses is getting older, younger ones are not staying/coming in, and they are afraid that as they pass on, their numbers will be very few and they will not have the donations they have enjoyed in the past? All very odd. Gayle had a great suggestion of trying to get Carl information from jwfacts. Poor LouBelle, you must be so disappointed. But it sounds as if you did a great job of keeping your cool.

  forty-five years ago i was out in service with an elder, and we came upon a house where the owners kindly received us.

  this was not so unusual as the family was jehovah's witnesses.

  What will happen if I say no

  i have not been going to the meetings for just over nine months and was wondering what to say when an elder asked am i coming back.

  if i say no will i get df'd?

  we have not gotton any phonecalls or visits but a text message asking if we are coming back.

  If all you have gotten in 9 months is 1 text message, your elders might be the type who don't really have time/care enough to go after faders. Hope you didn't respond to the text. If possible, look at the caller ID before answering the phone, and if it is one of them, don't answer. Don't respond to any messages left, or answer texts, emails, and if they show up at the door unannounced, don't answer. You're not up to speaking to anyone that day if you accidentally open to them. Hope they stay away from you, tho. All the best to you in your fade.

  That must have been a difficult session to sit through, but it sounds like you did well! Glad your husband was by your side. As others have said, you may have said just enough for them to come after you. I think sometimes it depends on the personalities of the elders involved as to how hard they will come after someone. Please allow me to repeat what others have already said: DO NOT meet with them again. Do not give them power over you. You don't have to pick up the phone when they call, or respond to msgs, emails or texts. Hopefully your husband will support you. And if they somehow are able to make contact, please tell them they did not shephard you last time, that you felt you were attacked and being accused of wrong doing. Hopefully your husband will follow you out. There are many great people outside of the witnesses who would love to be your friends. Remember that if your current friends begin to shun you.   i have a sister-in-law that has hurt me deeply with her jw attitudes and decisions.

  she does not shun me or her brother but shuns one of our children.

  i am suffering from depression taking anti depressants to cope and i have fibromagiya with intensifies with stress.

  I don't see anything wrong with using that chapter, as long as it is done gently and with respect. I know she doesn't deserve your respect, esp. since she is shunning your child (what a pious snot she must be!) but sometimes we have to be the better person to get our point across. I feel for you that this person has hurt you so,and has done so for years. I have a similar situation with someone in my husbands family. I am able to avoid them most of the year, even though they live in the same subdivision as I. Is there any way you can avoid this toxic person most of the time? Your health has to come first so you can live the best possible life you can. After all these years of putting up with her garbage, don't you think you deserve it?

  i think it's fitting for my very first post to be a thread on jw.net turning myself in to any lurking elders out there on a witch-hunt to cleanse the congregation so that god's choosen ones can "remain in god's love.
