The german translation is awful. Not even one correct sentence. Almost impossible to understand anything, even if you have a jw background. And no fun reading it at all.

Can you do me a favor?

it would be very helpful if readers of various languages could take a look at this feature and let me know whether it helps or not.
what i need is some idea of how well the translator works and whether the translation renders the essence of the english.

Great site. Next to Alan Feuerbachers articles jwfacts opened my eyes completely regarding the WTS and the believe in which I was born, raised and stayed for four decades. I can hardly express all my gratitude for Pauls great work. Thank you very much!

How many ways....

two big ones for me:.
it pushes people to the edge and when they commit suicide they say: "well he wasn't really a jw anyways soit has nothing to do with us".. it pushes people so much to do more and more and more that they get depressed, and physically sick.

The WTS force the R & F to trust them ( “It is vital that we recognize the faithful slave. Our spiritual health and our relationship with God depend on this channel.”), but on the other hand they are deliberately lying and misrepresenting facts.
This kind of dishonesty and insincertity is hurting the same way like for example to be betrayed by your partner or a trusted friend.

I like the name because it is a honest one. It describes perfectly the goal of the association - beeing active against the watchtower and its harmfull policies. I dont see this association as a haven for those seeking tranquility after cruising the stormy waters of the cult. It is a battleship, heading out to confront the opponent in open water.

Another New Member
by lriddle80 ini have been out of the "truth" for about 13 years, but 9 of those years i was someone who was out but thinking i would probably go back at some point...out but not all the way out mentally.
my family are still active members and i am a little bit shunned, not invited to family get togethers, that sort of thing.
i was one of those people that left and then did drugs and partied for a while.
