  Splane`s war rhetoric

  however, it was interesting, not just what and how splane adressed the matter, also what he actually had to admit.

  The last talk o the saturday convention of JW was already often the centre of discussion, with all the name calling, logical fallacies and fear mongering. However, it was interesting, not just what and how Splane adressed the matter, also what he actually had to admit.

  1) He had to admit, that the org is actually loosing court battles, left and right. he blamed the socalled unjust systems of wordly courts, but if one have in mind, that JW always boasted about winning court trials as proof of Gods backing, particularly in the 40`s about religious freedom, this is actually a concession of defeat. Winning in court = Gods backing, loosing therefore equals also loosing God`s backing. He didnt draw this conclusion directly, but it is inevitable.

  2) He had to admit, that JW settling cases out of court. And more importantly, that a reason for this is, that BOTH parties do not want all the truth to be revealed. So he said, WT is hiding something.

  3) He had to admit, that news reporters to try to get their side by contacting the branch. Of course, he put his drivel on it, why this is also bias, but still.

  4) He had to admit, that News reporters are carefully wording things to not get sued, so basically he cnfessed, that whenever something false is being broadcasted, they will sue them. This in away confirms, that what the media shows, may be negative and onesided, but not entirely false.

  Do local JWs want in-person meetings back in your congregation?

  i realize many here think that in-person meetings will return as soon as things are safe with covid.

  but many acknowledge it will likely be 2022 or later when this happens.. surprisingly, many pimi jws in our congregation are not shy about saying they are fine with zoom meetings forever and do not want to go back to in-person meetings.

  many speculate similar thoughts that are on this site....such as a combination of in-person and zoom meetings.

  mixed experience here too, most tend to a solution, where it is half and half, weekend meeting at hall and midweek at zoom for instance, even die hard ones like this idea...

  In letters about the different vaccines to the congos they stressed the point not to make decsions in medical matters for the brothers.

  Demanding it from Bethelites would then be super hypocritical, something the Org would never be....

  so, in a couple weeks, the jws move on in their bible-reading slog to the book of deuteronomy.. take a gander at deuteronomy 23:12,13:.

  a private place should be designated for use outside the camp, and there is where you should go.

  13 a peg should be part of your equipment.

  Maybe God sent along with Manna and long lasting shoes also constipation , would also explain why most of them died in the wilderness ;-)

  But seriously, a couple days ago, I mentioned that problem of practical application to my PIMI wife, as a little tidbit of helping her to wake up...

  However, one excuse to it could be, that the "camp" mentioned just refers to the camp of their immediate family, ?

  I Care a Lot (2020) One of the worst movies I think I've ever seen

  my wife and i were intrigued by the trailer, which looked like a humorous, over the top, dark comedy.. the story centers around the unscrupulousness of a female attorney named marla grayson (rosamund pike) who makes her living by preying on old people.

  grayson has her victims declared mentally incompetent, locks them away in a care facility she has bought off and then liquidates and pockets their assets as their court appointed guardian.. (spoilers ahead).

  ms. grayson humorously makes the mistake of singling out a seemingly helpless retiree name jennifer peterson (dianne wiest) as her next target.. grayson however, quickly discovers that peterson has millions of dollars in diamonds in a safe deposit box and far from being helpless is the mother of roman lunyov, (peter dinklage) a russian mafia figure who is not terribly happy with this turn of events.. up to this point, the movie was great.

  Halfway through good movie, good initial idea, then it screwed up royally. Complete utter BS when she survived the attempted kill miracolously, total underwhelming end...

  Dont know, if it was wokeness that ruined it, or just no motivation to finish what started as a quite original story

  we all know of kingdom halls being sold for the past few years.

  recently i ran into an elder from a nearby congo, and he told me, that they were in the process of selling their hall, but sudenly it was paused, and he expressed it like the gb put a stop to all selling projects world wide.

  any of you heard about that ?.

  we all know of kingdom halls being sold for the past few years. Recently I ran into an elder from a nearby congo, and he told me, that they were in the process of selling their hall, but sudenly it was paused, and he expressed it like the GB put a stop to all selling projects world wide.

  when confronted with angus stewart’s blunt question “do you see yourselves as jehovah god’s spokespeople on earth?” the answer that came from jackson’s lips was astounding.. “that i think would seem to be quite presumptuous to say that we are the only spokesperson that god is using.

  the scriptures clearly show that someone can act in harmony with god’s spirit in giving comfort and help in the congregations, but if i could just clarify a little, going back to matthew 24, clearly, jesus said that in the last days ‐ and jehovah’s witnesses believe these are the last days ‐ there would be a slave, a group of persons who would have responsibility to care for the spiritual food.

  so inthat respect, we view ourselves as trying to fulfill that role.”.

  very carefully worded, I'll give him that. He basically says, that some in the congregation also can be a spokesperson of God when he helps someone. So basically he still limits the possible spokespersons only to JW. Mostly the GB8, but sometimes maybe elders, ms, however, as we know, only if they follow the GB guidelines to the t.

  The persecutor should have nailed it there, and asked, if also a non JW could be today a spokesperson for God.

  omg, this is the worst song (lyric wise). there are at least some mediocre, kind of ok songs, but this is literally the worst ... most cultish...

  GB teaching - Gays and Lesbians will be resurrected as Gays and Lesbians

  the final talk of the saturday afternoon online convention is given by lett, sporting a creepy looking combover, which for some reason, looks creepier than normal.

  he talks about how those resurrected will need to come into line with a new moral code otherwise they will be destroyed.

  he uses an example of gay people having to turn away from their inclinations even though they may feel that they are perfectly acceptable.. this demonstrates that the gb feel that being gay is a taught behaviour rather than an imperfect unnatural desire, otherwise they would be growing out of that desire as they develop towards perfection, as they teach.

  that was exatlty my thought, even regarding resurrection of Lazarus and others. Why did they have to die again ? their sins were not forgiven and their resurrection meant that something imperfect was recreated. How does this fit into the idea of an holy God, who cannot even have dealings with imperfect people, only through angels. makes no sense
