What resurrects, the person or a perfect copy?
by JH ini remember my boss asking me once this question, since he knew i was a witness.
he asked, "what resurrects, the body, the soul, what?.
he knew that witnesses believe in the resurrection of the dead on earth, in a different physical body during the millennium.. i told him that it won't be the same physical body, and maybe won't be identical, but it's the same person.

As someone who actually "lives" in America, I have never noticed such an attitude and most certainly not on a global scale.

Death - the downside of having friends...
by LittleToe intoday i helped bury a friend, and in a few minutes i'll be leaving to attend the wake of another, who died yesterday.. i have less than a handful of friends from pre-exjw days (nothing new there - we're all in a similar boat, i'm sure), so my more recently acquired friends are precious to me.. for those that i count as friends (which obviously includes a number on this board), please let it be known that you are precious to me.. i've helped bury about six, during this last year (i hope that doesn't put anyone off from befriending me).
every one has been like a hammerblow .
regardless of beliefs, or lack thereof, death is still an enemy to the living and the dead (imho).. with that sombre note, i must away....

I am misunderstood much more often then I am understood and that's fine. I?ve been accused of being stuck up numerous times of all things, by people who didn?t know me beyond the basic introductions. I'm not going to spend the rest of my life explaining to everyone that doesn't "get it".
I often leave a negative impression but patience has taught me that they wouldn't have made very good friends anyway, too shallow. And those who "get it" when I'm being silly or dark or whatever, turn out to be more worth my time anyway.
