  awake!-magazine of january 22nd, 2004 contains the article "why i believe in the bible?

  a nuclear scientist reports" as told by alton williams.. .

  i only own the german edition so maybe someone can quote from the english original.

  Well, we are assuming that "A" refers to Alton Williams, and there is a Alton Williams who obtained a doctorate in a topic related to nuclear physics

  Hi VM44,

  I will only assume that Alton Williams is reporting something he either read or heard by another scientist and is not referring to himself as the originator of the comment. The reason being, this is a very common practice in WT writting. They often use this very line when writting about or so-called quoting what someone said. I don't think in this case that Alton Williams and the Nucular scientist are one in the same even if Alton Williams is the same Alton Williams with a doctorate in Nucular physics.

  WHO IS "A" is the key to the authenticity of anything written in this artical. Alton williams is only stating that he is repeating something said by Nuculear Scientst named "A"

  This artical means nothing about nothing regarding nothing.

  How did you wrap your gifts?

  i can remember, when ever wraping gifts for weddings baby showers etc always making sure not to wrap the ribbon in the tradidional "cross" design.

  we always either wrapped the corners only or just stuck a bow on it.. it was extreemely rare to see someone bring a gift wrapped in a cross ribbon.. anyone else remember back that far?.

  is that practice still going on to this day?

  I use to spend so much time making my own bows and gift wrap I hated seeing them ripped apart. LOL!

  BAGS! are great.

  I don't think it was ever "prohibited" as much as it was some silly superstition about the shape of the cross being associated with pagan holidays yadda yadda yadda. It was just one of those smurf thing I guess. Smurfs were not officially prohibited demons but no one baught there kids smurfs.

  my mother told me that her bookstudy overseer asked his group this question---"why do you think a mature brother in the truth would just suddenly leave and stop coming to meetings?

  For Migraine Sufferer's

  ok, for those who suffer migraine attacks, when do you get them, and what do you do for them?

  prior to an injury in the school yard, (a teenager at the time) i never had a headache.

  my injury had all the symptoms of a migraine.

  My hubby has suffered from severe migraines for several years. He has tried just about everything this side of surgery including acupuncture, herbal remedies, alternative and self-medicating. So far, the only thing that has helped him is 4 stiff shots of freshly brewed espresso when he feels one coming on.

  He has never been a coffee drinker but one day I gave him a quadshot after someone suggested it and it worked.

  It doesn't always work but it does help him a lot and even eliminates the migraine about 50 to 60% of the time, if he doesn't wait too long. Once he is in full-blown migraine mode, nothing really helps except a dark quiet room.

  I use to get migraines but it was from my blood sugar bouncing off the walls. As soon as I found out I was borderline diabetic and adjusted my sugar intake or the types of foods I eat and when I eat it, I no longer get them, knock on wood.
