I went through that with my sons. They developed their own ideas over time. Your kids will (don't know how old) get a lot of info through school and social activities etc. Don't sweat it.

question: why are humans worth more than animals?
by Realist inok putting religious reasoning aside what is a rational reason why humans are viewed worth more than higher animals?
why is a human worth more than lets say a chimp, a pig or a cow?.
neurophysiological studies show that animals suffer probably just as much as humans....but similar to little children they cannot understand the pain and express it as human adults can.

If people want equality with animals, then they should go live with them.
HEY! whatchutalkinboutwillis!
LOL! I hope you don't eat dogs.
I agree with the equality thing, I have no intentions of allowing my dog to EVER get a drivers license!

does our higher intelligence make us worth more or is it the suffering of other humans if a human dies that makes it more dispicable to kill a human?
It all depends on where your standing. When one of my dogs died, the other one stayed depressed for several days not eating or wanting to do anything. I think he was hurting as much as one of us hurts when we lose someone close.
and then again,
animals kill each other all the time without it being considered a sin. Are you suggesting that humans are or should be the same? Its ok to kill a human that was sentanced to death for his crimes so it should be viewed in the same light when say... religious fanatics kill people for violating the rules/laws of the religion? Just thought it was interesting that you would open a thread with this as a topic.
I thin yur tryin to intrap/spin some of us "war mongers" Its only ok to kill when there is a good reason? hmmm...are you out to prove there is never a good reason to kill or mind ones own business when other cultures are doing the killing?
Which way will it spin?

While the group - one of Brooklyn Heights' largest property owners - posted a press release on its Web site announcing the potential sale, the building is not formally on the market.

Apostate bastards know more about bible/god history than others.
by gumby inhow many religious people have done a critical examination on the bible/god/religion......more than an ex-dub has?
the mormons possibly.. one only has to read some of the over 1 million posts on this board, to notice how much re-search various ones have done on these subjects after leaving the dubs.
why do you suppose that is?.

Mormons possibly but I doubt it. It is funny that we would spend so much time researching everything after leaving. While active all we did was "home work", read chapters such and such which would be provided for us in the daily scriptures.

Does Jesus being the "Son of God" mean that he is not God by nature ?
by hooberus inin bible times the phrase "the son of god" was understood as a claim to the nature of god, not a claim to be a lesser being:.
" john 19:7. .

that this means Jesus IS greater than God
No I'm not saying that. I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. I don't read it that way. I just read it sorta like, God was going to erase us and perhaps start over? or not, but Jesus wanted to stick with us and prove that at least a percentage of us were salvagable and worth hanging on to. Some of us humans would rise to the occasion, proving Satan wrong about "this" creation, that's sorta in a nut shell of an explination. Others will see it in a different way or not agree at all.

How on earth did the JW community manage to raise the money for this unique machine?
Don't know but a former friend of mine who is a JW, well her mother in Palm Springs took over a clinic from the doctor she worked for (now dead) that was in the business of doing exactly that. It was a form of treatment that he perscribed for anyone that wanted to "feel better" It's called "Blood Cleansing". Anyway, before I stopped communicating with her she told me her mother was looking for investors to keep the business going and she needed $100,000.00
I would say it was a longshot that the two are related but who knows.
