  norway minister marries gay partner.

  oslo, norway (ap) - finance minister per-kristian foss has married his gay companion, becoming the first member of a norwegian government to enter a binding homosexual partnership.

  I know we've had at least 1 homosexual president in the US. Or maybe he was just a cross-dresser. He was the one with the really ugly wife.
  She was a great leader, just really ugly.

  Are Jehovah's Witnesses evil?

  i am shocked at the many accusations against jehovah's witnesses in this forum.. i know that i am young, but most of my family are jws and they are good people and i love them.

  even my worldly family is very nice and i do not shun them.

  the friends in the hall are very nice also.

  about the smoking coment,
  Jws are allowed 6 months to quit smoking or be dfd, the last I herd. which i find strange because you have to be baptized before you can be dfd
  So I guess if you get baptized and then take up smoking you have 6 months from the day that they find out about it to quit.

  ok i have a question: these people that are running the organization that is the "faithful and discreet slave" and are being enlightened by god, who are they????

  what are jws told about these people??

  how do these people receive guidance from god??

  I always thought this to be incredible!!! How the "governing body" could appoint abunch of drunkin' elders to repremend(no spell ck.) an anointed sister in the congergation for not being able to continue living a lie! And shun her for years!!!! It seems to me that they would be putting themselves dierectly in the line of fire! Shunning Crist's bride? And when was the anointed suppose to get in line according to whats between thier legs? But i'm just plmkrzy...so they say

  I still get regular calls - visits from pioneers ect. It seems like they are always with-in the same period of time. Don't you feel like your just part of a quota? or how ever you spell it.
  I use to feel like, wow how nice that they are still thinking of me, but lately I think i'm just representing a number. Just another lost sheep to keep track of and nothing more. Maybe i'm just...plmkrzy.

  I can only speak for myself, grew tired of hanging on jokers puppet strings a long time ago.
  But the worst thing that can possibly come out of this..
  if it is a gag, maybe another lesson.

  The end will be here in the fall? Are you sure it wasn't the winter? or maybe they said the spring. I'll call one of my parents
  up tomorrow and ask when the new deadline for Armeg was posted.
  Just because most people in this form have major differences with
  the JW as a society does not mean being automaticly out of touch
  with whats what.

  My story...well part of it anyway

  it has occurred to me that ive been here long enough and have met many of you whose company i really appreciate.

  i see people come in since i have been here and am inspired and impressed at the courage they have for giving their stories, their experiences and the freedoms they now have paid for by a cost that only a cult survivor can really appreciate.. so with that inspiration, here is my story.... i have very little memory of before i was 5. i do remember christmas morning one year to wake up to a ton of toys and that was cool.

  i remember having my stomach pumped once because i got into some kerosene and thought id pour myself a glass.

  Hey Kenny2, read your story....the whole thing....no it wasn't to long. i'm new posting here to. still to slow to keep up with everyone though. I went through almost my entire life with this dark cloud hanging around, always thinking i wasn't good enough to be saved because i was never a perfect cookie cut out of a perfect jw. i don't completely agree with everything said here but over all i find it to be a breath of fresh air. It's nice not being alone.....Take care.

  QUESTION: What religion are you in now? ...

  this got me to thinking.... now that most of us have left the wts, i notice some have taken other belief systems.

  some have come to a peace with their own ideas.. my question is are you involved with another religion?

  has it brought you more peace or happiness?

  I find it hard to believe in any kind of orginized religon. I believe Cristianity is a personal thing.And your relationship with God is a personal thing. No one has the right to tell you how you stand in Gods eyes. No one has the right to tell God who is acceptable and who isn't. Or who fits in and who doesn,t.

  Hey there, i'm from the South Bay area, near Redondo Beach.
  Been here all my life. I haven't gone to the meetings much in the past 20 years except the memorial. I still feel very compelled to attend the memorial every year. It's the closest thing to what Jesus asked of us to do that is still being done. I can't recall anywhere in the bible where Jesus gathered up kids and hunted for easter eggs, SO i still attend the memorial. And an occaissonal assembly or two.
  Both of my parents are still in the truth though. My brother HATES w/passion anything that sounds like it might be even remotely associated with JWs.Except our dad. They are still buddies they just never ever talk religon, ever. My dad was an elder, df'd years ago and reinstated and my mother is annointed,75 years. My children and my brothers children will have nothing to do with JWs. My mom continues to send all of them all the latest lititure etc. anyway...still hopeing. I came accross this form last year but never until just recently have i posted anything. More then you wanted to know? he he he
