the "annointed" witnesses

i just realized that the annointed won't die off.

i mean, the original annointed will die off within the next 10 years or so, but then there are the younger people that think they are annointed, but don't fall under the rules and guidelines of an annointed person (per jw).

i personally don't believe in the annointed, but something struck my fancy at the memorial.

The society will be forced to re-explain the whole concept of the anointed when the governing body dies off and they no longer have "anointed" as figureheads in the organization.

I wonder how that will work? Will the "new" unanointed governing body communicate through Jehovah, Jesus or the dead governing body? I heard it through the grapevine..... Or will they discover that there was just enough fallen anointed ones to open up space for the new bros in charge?

my 9 year old son just a few minutes ago asked me questions that as an adult i can not even begin to answer.

we raised him a jw from until just 2 yrs ago as a jw.

all the basic jw teaching were in place very early on.........paradise on earth, when we die we are dead, asleep , waiting to be resurrected, the heaven is only for some, there is no hellfire.....etc.

I went through that with my sons. They developed their own ideas over time. Your kids will (don't know how old) get a lot of info through school and social activities etc. Don't sweat it.

question: why are humans worth more than animals?

ok putting religious reasoning aside what is a rational reason why humans are viewed worth more than higher animals?

why is a human worth more than lets say a chimp, a pig or a cow?.

neurophysiological studies show that animals suffer probably just as much as humans....but similar to little children they cannot understand the pain and express it as human adults can.

If people want equality with animals, then they should go live with them.

I agree with the equality thing, I have no intentions of allowing my dog to EVER get a drivers license!

does our higher intelligence make us worth more or is it the suffering of other humans if a human dies that makes it more dispicable to kill a human?

It all depends on where your standing. When one of my dogs died, the other one stayed depressed for several days not eating or wanting to do anything. I think he was hurting as much as one of us hurts when we lose someone close.

and then again,

animals kill each other all the time without it being considered a sin. Are you suggesting that humans are or should be the same? Its ok to kill a human that was sentanced to death for his crimes so it should be viewed in the same light when say... religious fanatics kill people for violating the rules/laws of the religion? Just thought it was interesting that you would open a thread with this as a topic.

I thin yur tryin to intrap/spin some of us "war mongers" Its only ok to kill when there is a good reason? hmmm...are you out to prove there is never a good reason to kill or mind ones own business when other cultures are doing the killing?

the mormons possibly.. one only has to read some of the over 1 million posts on this board, to notice how much re-search various ones have done on these subjects after leaving the dubs.

Mormons possibly but I doubt it. It is funny that we would spend so much time researching everything after leaving. While active all we did was "home work", read chapters such and such which would be provided for us in the daily scriptures.
