suppose you were going to leave the planet for 2000 years and you wanted the entire earthly society of people who would be alive when you returned to know about you.

would you tell someone to write down all your words of truth since these words would produce salvation and eternal life to all who believed in you........or would you tell a handful of diciples or say even 500 buddies to spread your words to their children and down through the succeding generations?.

The phrase was likely a marginal scribal note that accidentally got awkwardly incorporporated into the text.

I’ve considered that. What did he really say. Perhaps the word written was a bloop for “The Word” or who knows. We have to figure that out for ourselves.

Then you will not take pride in one man over against another. 7 For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? "Do not go beyond what is written." needs to be understood according to Paul. What did he mean by it?

Other then that, In a shorter nutshell, I believe all he was saying is we will be judged by what’s in our hearts as individuals not by what we know of the bible or any other book.

Herein lay a clue to Jesus the man and his Nazarean Party followers. What were those traditional messianics ;up too, carrying swords and counting zealots in their number?

Exactly Why Paul said what he said to the congregation, be careful when believing everything you hear/read/ and maybe even see, including him.

How do JW know they have the Truth?

that church preaches that through powerful feelings sent by god, one can know the truth of the book of mormon.

When Rutherford decided to call the movement Jehovah’s Witnesses with the “idea” that it would somehow remain separate from all religions or somehow prevent it from being included as a religion proves he wasn’t thinking too clearly. Even the WTS gave up on that one.
