  i conducted the wt study tonight on higher education.

  i wondered what the reaction of the bros and sis would be.

  there was no deviation from the idea that a university education is not a good idea.

  Frazzled UBM - "I thought they had gone quiet on Higher Education being bad."

  They had a letter to the elders that defined Higher Education, I believe, as a four year university degree or greater. Community College, where the good JW youth can get some sort of education, perhaps certification or a two year associates degree, while continuing to live at home and keep up with a good spiritual routine, and as long as the motive for getting such education was to support oneself in the ministry, was okay.

  in george orwell's novel 'nineteen eighty-four' the capitulation of the principal protagonist is portrayed in his willingness to assent to the proposition that two and two make five.

  once he had denied objective reality, his mental conquest was complete and he was no longer truly the master of his own mind.

  nineteen eighty-four is in many ways, a very depressing read.. a charge commonly leveled at jehovah's witnesses is that the type of mind control envisioned by orwell has been and continues to be used on them.

  Hey D-DOG, I'm glad I waited long enough on this one to see your real motive for the post.

  Do you remember the talk? I remember hearing that experience, possibly when I prepared the recordings of the CA (I didn't actually attend), just wondering if it was an experience purposely provided by "MOTHER" in the outline.

  sheri sheppard spoke about this as a ex jw how it affects a person to be dfd,you feel like you loose your identity, its very difficult, i see my son struggling, i wish this practice can be done away with,so hurtful for everyone..
