  DC Drama stirs up drama of it's own!!!

  remember the drama about persecution,suffering, that a modern-day job experiences?

  the jw's under ban in a " landmark ruling", our faithful brother conversing with job in the new world, it' all too wonderful!

  especially job wearing pants and a tunic style shirt!

  I came to a wicked reasoning as a JW that differed from the organizational point of view, that, if the Bible was written specifically for the anointed (144,000), and the anointed were to become angels, then the scripture about resurrected ones not marrying and being as the angels (Matt 22:30) applied to them and them alone. Why would that apply to a member of the human family resurrected to life on earth? Would they not have hormones? Would they not have an attraction to another human? Would these traits, feelings, emotions, be eliminated?

  600 people up and left the DC after the 'apostate' talk?

  an 'apostate' inactive jw in america i know on facebook went to the dc and said fully 600 people left between the end of the apostate talk and the lunch break.

  have any of you who also went to the dc seen something like this happen?

  2013 Baptisms @ U.S. District Conventions Reports?

  anyone getting/hearing how baptism numbers are this summer @ conventions?

  in previous years, reports showed less baptisms per attendance numbers.

  overall, annual 2012 service report showed for u.s. reduction in baptisms..

  2012 28 baptized

  2013 48 baptized

  Attendance was nearly 20% higher, our congregation was encouraged to car pool because they were expecting an increase in attendance, the reason was not shared, I assumed another circuit was included.

  ecan6: I keep hearing a "shipping" sound... is it just me or do you have another version of the audio?

  There were issues with the broadcast as well as my recording on Friday, especially during the morning, some parts are missing or hard to hear.

  If I can come up with a better recording I will post it. Saturday is fairly decent, although for some reason, my new MP3 skips bits when recording from the radio.

  was just talking to my mom on my phone about the convention in green bay, wisconsin.

  she said the brothers were talking about wanting satan dead for good!

  (i was like, oh, well, yeah, i agree, in my mind i was dying laughing!).
