by andys ini can be very emotional about certain things and when i heard about oompa, even though i don't know him i was sometimes in tears about it, i will miss his posts, what i want to do for oompa is to have a moment of silence for him, i know i don't post on here much am more of a lurker but also i want everyone else to have a moment of silence also for our friend and also for all the others who have committed suicide because of the watchtowers policys..

by EndofMysteries ini just recently learned that in hebrew, zedek also means jupiter.
when did this happen is unknown.
and possibibly that the planet jupiter was responsible for some catastrophes and things happening on earth during that time.

Is the midweek meeting the new bookstudy in regards to attendance?
by solomon inwe had our circuit assembly last weekend and this was one of the needs of the circuit.
one of the main points was mid week meeting attendance.
apparently the attendance is very low.

A funy thing happened to me ...
by scotoma ini suddenly realized that this board has the same methods at its disposal as the watchtower and it will use them.
and there's no appeal.. i am so saddened by this i feel like killing myself.
this was my last refuge of being able to discuss things that are on my mind.. and now i see there is no hope.

As for killing yourself its up to you. But it seems you didn't read what I posted on Eric's thread that explained why such is the worst option to choose. Do you understand the timeframe we live in? Do you understand the serious responsibility all of us have for the future of humanity? It seems you don't and like to behave like a small child. It is surprising me because you have really created some nice threads. So please sit down and think about what I posted. Do your research and then we talk again.

What Can We Do to Show How We Cared about Oompa?

several people, including myself, would like to do something concrete to show our concerns re: his treatment by the jw, and how important he was to all of us here.
i suggested a handwritten note, on behalf of the whole community here, flowers, and perhaps a donation to a charity that helps people get back on their feet.

just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

Its a myth. Here is the realhistory behind it:
Ancient Greeks used to sacrifice humans on top of the mountains to Baal and other deities. The same applies to other tribes and people that were inhabiting the Mediterranean. By time people were getting more civilized and human sacrifices were replaced by animal sacrifices. Such practices were now considered barbaric and were discontinued. Still there were some extreme circumstances where human sacrifices were performed.
Having above in mind all symbols-the sacrificial blood that redeems mankind, the ram-can easily be explained.
Let me repeat myself:
Jesus is called in Greek αμν?ς του Θεο?. Why to use a lamb and not another animal? Because the blood from the sacrifice was held in a bottle made from sheepskin. It was called ?μνιον (amnion). The bottle contained and protected the blood which in extend protected/redeemed humans from all evil. Even in English the same word is preserved till today. It is the membrane building the amniotic sac that surrounds and protects the embryo.
