Are they trying to say there are no conspiracies? A conspiracy is one or more people doing something that is wrong and lying about it. All governments do this all the time.

They have tried to make it sound like conspiracy theories are only flat Earth, aliens or lizard people nonsense.

But there are plenty of conspiracy theories that are now conspiracy facts, like WMDs in Iraq for example. Do Wtower believe the governments were telling the truth and they just couldn’t find them?

WTower need to take their own advice they give out. I remember one of the covid updates as Splain keep saying in a condescending way “brothers please be careful what you believe” then he went in to endorse the jabs.

I wish I could have gone to Bethel and in front of the entire Bethel family said to the GB “ brother please please be careful what you believe “

Zoom replaced with KHCONF+ app for meetings?

just heard about khconf+ app replacing zoom for hybrid meetings at kngdom halls.

did a quick search here and didnt find any posts about it.

It’s still zoom here in South East London. All congregations here use zoom but some elder’s really don’t like it.

There is a pin to get in but it’s usually got 1914 in there somewhere😭

there is a controversy over who to let in, some people say they are not feeling well but elders think they are fine. I have heard it that if they say I’m tired I will attend on zoom one elder said we are all tired we all want to stay on zoom 🤣🤣

"judge" rutherford defined or classified all religion as "a snare and a racket" in his books "religion" and "enemies".. after rutherford's death in 1942, his protege, watchtower vice president, and aclu darling, hayden c. covington, in the early 1950's, for reasons of legal expedience and supremacist aspirations, suddenly converted the watchtower into a religion.. this was done alongside one of the most audacious, spurious and longstanding swindles of the us legal system.

this involved twisting philippians 1:7 and misrepresenting the watchtower's true nature, objectives and activities.. .

this meant that it became necessary for the watchtower to suddenly reclassify and redefine religion (w51 1/15 p. 43 new legal booklet well named; w51 8/15 p. 511 questions from readers; yb75 p. 161 part 2 "for gladys bolton...").. two new watchtower classifications were suddenly created: "true religion" and "false religion".. now "true religion" meant "true beliefs" whilst "belief" in ever changing watchtower doctrine was equated with the one "faith" of scripture.. all this while the watchtower increasingly and maliciously truncated, obfuscated and hid the liberating full "good news" (or unabridged gospel) of scripture, which it lyingly claimed (in court) that it was actually "defending and legally establishing".. how would you have defined religion before learning ttatt?.

Yes anything can be like a religion to some. Hobbies and activities can be like a religion. Trekkies have often been used as an example also very similar some people love Star Wars so much it has become like a religion. They both know it’s fictional but love the people with a common interest.

even atheists can become religious about their beliefs and the new age ideas that the universe created itself and they often say universe had this in mind for me. This is like a religion to these people

But what happens if the person left everything to the Borg in their will? If family members do not inform the Borg and no executor of a will is contacted by the family because they know what’s the point?

who would own the house then in that situation?

is there some sort of automatic process when someone dies? What if No family members ever inform anyone?

If I say that because of some prophecy a volcano is going destroy the earth before the overlaping generation who saw 1914 dies, then someone could say that’s nonsense. They don’t have to come up with an alternative date the volcano will happen they could say they don’t believe the volcano will destroy the earth.

yes they want it to fade away. Just like Tony Morris they want it to fade away. It worked with Leo Greenlees and Ewert Chitty, former GB members who were removed like Tony.

They also want the harmful direction to be fully vaccinated to fade away.

They want people to remember it that the GB gave good direction that protected everyone. Problem is the direction from the GB is now causing white fibrous growths that cause blood clots and excessive people are dying suddenly.

Those that remain will not be there because of belief, but only for family and social reasons.

Yes it may well be the majority of JWs are just like Trekkies. They know it’s fiction but still go because of family and friends.

Many Trekkies don’t even like Star Trek that much anymore, but they like being a Trekkie for social reasons

Yep that’s exactly what this is all about. Usually a wealthy older one treats everyone to lunch in a fancy place or back at someone’s home.

the door to door thing is hardly done and it’s just an excuse for the get together.

those traveler’s to London are going to make friends for life and will be inviting their new friends from London back to stay with them from wherever they are from.

what is interesting these days is that the gossip seems to be bordering on JWlite. How the vaccine direction issue caused division, all the changes.

Can you openly express doubts in the congregation these days?

i know of a lovely old sister who has been a jw for several decades now who openly expresses doubts about jw interpretations.. she does it in such a lovely way and everyone loves her.

she is such a sweet old soul, makes everyone happy around her.. she has said things like- even if we have got it wrong about this and that i still believe the bible is gods word”.

she answers up regularly and she goes on ministry groups but like most of us she is definitely jwlite, we don’t really do door to door work anymore.
