Is Iran the new Iraq?

during the bush years, i tried to discuss the inaccuracies, errors, and misinterpretations in the bush administration's iraq intelligence that was used to rally the nation and march to war.

but most people's eyes would glaze over and they would mumble some comment about foreign policy being too hard and too time consuming to understand.

as a nation, we failed in our duty to check our leaders, which led to the iraq war, which deleteriously diverted our attention from afghanistan, and has contributed greatly to our financial demise.

Isreal and the US have already developed new bunker buster bombs and have made adaptations to their bomber planes to deploy them against Irans nuclear sites. I think they will only get as far as delaying Iran from getting the "bomb". Eventually, more countries will try to develop or buy this technology. Its inevitable. They need regime change in Iran. Get rid of the Mullah's running the country and get a more pro Western democratic gov. in place. That is how they will solve the Iran problem. As for trying to stop Nuclear Proliferation, its too late for that. And believe me, Russia and China DO NOT want Iran's Mullah's to have the bomb either. The west will make a deal with Russia and China for Irans Oil that will keep them at bay if they haven't already. This way, Russia and China's interests will be safe and they will stand by as the US and Isreal unleash Hell on Iran. They will partialy destroy their nuclear sites and most of their armed forces before calling it a day.

in my congregation i could name at least 10 brothers, and likely more, who just couldnt wait for armageddon to come.

the way they spoke about it clearly showed that they were just so excited.

you could just see their eyes light up at the prospect of the wicked being destroyed and removed from this earth.

hello all, i've been on this site for a few weeks (reading for longer) and i have to say this site has helped me a great deal.

i see from reading all the posts that many many people share my views on the whole jw thing and i'm so glad i can express myself without getting into problems with getting reported to the elders or something.

i am currently in my late 30's happily married to a jaydub with 2 kids.

Ziddina, I agree with you. I should be more careful of who I speak with. It could spread around. But a small part of me says " I dont give shit" if it comes out. I don't know why. I will read your post on "How I got my family out",

Hello all, I've been on this site for a few weeks (reading for Longer) and I have to say this site has helped me a great deal. I see from reading all the posts that many many people share my views on the whole JW thing and I'm so glad I can express myself without getting into problems with getting reported to the Elders or something. I am currently in my late 30's happily married to a JayDub with 2 kids. My wife was not a born in and she's open minded. But she hate's whenever I bash the Borg so I keep from expressing my thoughts and feelings toward this phycotic religion to a minimum with her.

Here's a Little about me. Its a fairly typical story. I was born in this cult and grew up fairly "strong" in the Troof until my late teens when I went a little buck wild and Left cause the pressure to go to all of those boring meeting and conform to the WTS rules and regulations was just to great. Afterward in my early 20's I started getting into a major depression and I had a Strong Need to got back to the Hall and it made me feel better..... for a while. I think that the HEAVY Indoctrination I recieved as a child (8 days assembley's? WTF???!) caused me to develop and difunctional and Lost feeling being outside the Borg. So I went back. A old brother started studying with me who was one of the "remnant" So I started to get back into it, found a nice girl and got married. In my late 20's early 30's I Got an Education and after building up a succesful Consulting Firm,having Kids, getting older and becoming more mature, I started to question some of the naging doubts I had in my head. So I started on a slow Fade and I go to meetings only 3 times a month at best (mostly to keep my family company) Now when I go I can really see the ridiculousness of the whole thing. I'm kind of treated a little cold by some at the hall, but I dont care. Some of the Jdubs treat me well though. I have 2 very good friends of mine who are cool and they a just now starting to realize how corrupt the Borg is. I told them to join this site. I hope they do.

This is so TRUE. A Lot of Jdubs I know are complete Loser's in the real world. Many of them have crappy jobs or part time jobs or no job at all. And yet they get very envious of normal people who have a decent home, some savings, a retirement funds, college fund, etc. When I was going regular, I was looked down upon because they considered me "Too Worldy and Materialistic" Can you believe that shit? It made so pissed! And yet, when I would go out in service with "spiritualy minded bros" (Yah Right) and meet normal folks at the doors, after doing the shpeel and getting rejected they would talk about how all these people rejecting Big J will have no chance when the big A comes. So Big J will bring on the big A and everyone's gona get it who's not them.... what a Load of caca
