  Half hearted JWs compared to past generations

  is it just me or has there been a massive change in jws of late?.

  when i grew up in the cult they had a real sense of urgency and would do an hour minimum, these days it’s not even ten mins before coffee break.. same goes for everything else, it’s half hearted .

  If you did a survey now how many JWs still do door knocking at all and of those who still do, who does more than ten mins before coffee break, I think it would be less than 10%.

  my grandmother, an immigrant from austria, was.

  two of my aunts, their husbands, both elders, various cousins and two of my sisters are witnesses.

  so is my grand uncle.

  What can the elders do to take better care? They can ask members of the congregation to call round?

  there seems to be less door to door or first call these days and more welfare visits instead.

  you get more kudos points if you go to ministry group and say you are doing welfare visits today.

  then at the coffee break later others hear about it and think oh I want to do that instead of door to door

  a change to their doctrine came from jackson.

  this isn't a transcript of his whole speech but i thought i would try and get some of his main speech in writing.. at around 1hr26 minutes he starts talking about some dangerous thinking in feeling there is some wiggle room in regards to the schedule for the gt.

  but you see, we need to be careful about what we are thinking about the number of anointed ones left on earth.

  for those who still believe in god and the bible, how do you feel/think about the name jehovah now?

  i am one who never wanted to bring reproach on god's name.

  i will admit using the word jehovah now makes me feel rather icky...like i am promoting a lie of sorts.

  Jehoiachin – Zechariah

  Jehoah Could be correct also. Most Bible names starting with J could be a little different in various languages.

  English there are a few ways you could possibly translate the divine name. Many other languages JWs get the divine name better than they do in English.

  Where is Tony?

  on february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

  a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.

  in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

  After all this time we should at least be able to find out if he is still attending meetings? If he is in a congregation somewhere what do those members of that congregation know about him?

  I remember hearing about Br Chitty who was GB attending congregations as normal after he was removed but these days the internet has changed everything
