  Serious question, what does Lard Evans do all day?

  he has no job no friends and hinted at not needing to spend time with his daughters now they have a new step dad.

  why is he even still living in a country where he still can’t speak the language?

  he lives in a cheap dump bedsit with paper thin walls. His evenings must be so lonely and depressing

  he makes a half hearted video once in a blue moon

  what does he do all day? He has nothing in his life at all anymore no wonder he has problems with prostitution and drugs.

  (i don’t go on jw dot org).

  it would sound like they are hinting at a change in thinking.. in my opinion, any such change would be yet another slap in the face to faithful pimis along with those other recent changes.. there are so many heartfelt responses on that thread and a lot of justified anger.. don’t know what to say except that i’m so glad i never listened to the religion all those years ago.

  It’s so sad how married men ruin their family by sleeping with sex workers and so much pain comes with with prostitution on everybody.

  Lloyd can blame JWs till he is blue in the face but the truth is his example is actually an advertisement for JWs are right and people like Lardface are wrong

  Our last co visit all elders had to sit through new videos and a new whiteboard animation about Q&A items.

  So are pioneers able to actually save money now with all the changes of late?

  when I was growing up you had to make many sacrifices to pioneer, no way you could save and invest.

  is there going to be an apology to all those who didn’t save and invest?

  the watchtower published anthony morris iii's autobiography last year ... "remembering my first love has helped me to endure" by anthony morris iii.

  i absolutely cannot believe how quickly he became a jehovah's witness.

  in the span of less than a year, he attended his first meeting, studied, got baptized, became a pioneer, and married a jw girl.

  So they are still encouraging PART TIME JOBS instead of a regular full time job with benefits like retirement.

  So it’s only a slight change they cant actually go and say plan for retirement as this would show the end may be far off

  On the other hand they don’t want millions of old JWs in hardship due to following direction of not planning for retirement

    The redditer who posted this on exjwreddit took one paragraph that had the phrase; "Retirement" and made it seem like the Watchtower is telling everyone that they should make Retirement a priority.

    Many thanks for the info and link, liam. It sounded too far off the long-held party line to be true. My impression is that the ex-Witness group on reddit is not the most critically and accurately thinking bunch!

    There have been plenty of unexpected organizational changes in the last few years, but this supposed one seemed too bizarre

  So is this a change in policy or not?

  it does seem like a slow soft change.

  I was brought up to think any kind of investment was a lack of faith. After all the end is right around the corner

  how many older ones regret listening to this dangerous direction from the faith slave class
