Pretty much every single person who died will be resurrected according to JW doctrine. Unless really bad. One fat member of the GB said something along the lines of Jehovah is not going to say well you were still alive during Armageddon now you have to die! If you died just before then you would have made it into paradise 🤣

The new light is that it doesn’t matter if you die before Armageddon or are alive during. There will be a resurrection of the unrighteous.

So pretty much everyone will survive Armageddon only the extremely evil people will be destroyed which includes all apostates is what the new light seems to be.

so if all that is true you may as well be JW lite and wait to see. If it looks like the GB are correct about things you could start to be a bit more JW heavy but until then stay as JW lite as possible. You will make it through if the GB were correct anyway

Is there a new rule regarding disfellowshipped people?

does anyone have any information about a relaxing of the rules regarding family reaching out to disfellowshipped members?.

i've heard of an elder being openly in touch with a long time disfellowshipped family member.

apparently the term 'compassionate view' had been bandied about.. i can't find anything relating to this.. i'd be interested what the new rule is in when came into play.. hotb .

In reality there is much confusion and this is partly by design. It all stems from Norway stopping giving so much money to the fat GB so they went against ToMorris who’s famous last words on broadcast we’re “we are certainly not going to do that” then they did it anyway!

yes you can now speak to disfellowshipped ones. The loophole is you are supposed to invite them to the meeting everytime you speak.

At the meeting members of the cong can now speak to them.

the largest change relates to the 90 day rule. It’s actually very difficult to get disfellowshipped to start with now, but if you are it is just for 90 dsys

Youths who gave up amazing lives

when i was growing up i remember many young people interviewed on the platform at assemblies.

the ones who really stood out are the talented ones who gave up amazing lives to pioneer.. i remember specifically when i was a boy in the 70s and 80s some who were very good at sport or something.

their teachers begged them to get professional training use their talents to the full.

I remember specifically when I was a boy in the 70s and 80s some who were very good at sport or something. Their teachers begged them to get professional training use their talents to the full. They sat there on the stage so proud that they turned it all down to pioneer and got a cleaning job or similar.

sure this was the case all over the world.

now these ones are approaching later life they wasted their best years as pioneers. They will be a burden on other as they are broke.

They must be wondering what if they used their best years to the full, then took early retirement and then pioneered?

Probability of Earth and life being how it is

there are some things we don't know about existence and whether the earth is a simulation or even a creation.

but we can do some statistical analysis on it.. the probability of a planet like earth existing in the goldilocks zone and having a moon that perfectly eclipses the sun is extremely low, but it's not impossible.

the habitable zone (or goldilocks zone) around a star is the region where a planet could potentially support liquid water on its surface.

The Earth's moon is unique in its ability to cause total solar eclipses.

The probability of a moon having the right size and orbital characteristics to cause total eclipses is considered low.

Why choose the Moon's eclipses as part of this? Because it is our only moon, and clearly visible to everyone on the planet. If you wanted to design a planetary system and put a "signature" out there for everyone to see (more visible than the pyramids for example), choose the moon.

It’s must be obvious to anyone with clear thinking abilities that there is no option that it was all just chance. A big bang explosion and whoosh the sun moon and earth by chance all just happened to land in the right places.

in an eclipse the moon matches up perfectly to the sun from our point of view here on earth. The sun is said to be 400 times larger than the moon and 400 times the distance away, and we are told this was just an amazing coincidence that they landed there after a chance big bang ?

im sure the GB hate it but this is the new light from AGMs of late, pretty much everyone will survive Armageddon anyway so why not be JW lite?

i’m still an elder and i consider myself jw light.

as my fellow elders are.

we don’t throw our weight around like elders used to in the past, it’s all very easy going these days.

My problem is that I just don't get how any human being with a decent dose of comprehension and compassion and a sense of justice could be anything "light" in this world we live in. I was JW "heavy,"

This is true of every single religion. There are some heavy into it and they say to those who are light into it “My problem is that I just don't get how any human being with a decent dose of comprehension and compassion and a sense of justice could be light into this religion”

Lutheran lite, episcopalian lite, Presbyterian lite....I can see. But JW lite?

Islam light, Jewish light, Hindu light, Buddhist light?

Think about evolution light? Or apathetic light? Then there is agnostic light?

whatever your beliefs are I think it’s the correct view the course of wisdom to be aware you may not be correct about what you believe?

Do JWs see the org falling apart?

i have been away from the jw cult for many years.

i don't have any family i talk to that are in it.

so i don't know if the jws as a whole are seeing the cult fall apart or if they or the majority of them are head in the sand la la la the end is neigh.

I know most people here are totally out and that’s fine.
Many these days are staying physically in for the social life and that is also fine.
I feel being fully mentally in is dangerous as it could be such a shock mentally if or should I say when the tower collapsed.
Im sitting in the fence like so many others here. Mentally Agnostic if God exists or not and if the Bible is his word.
When I talk to people who are physically and mentally still in I can tell that they so need it to be true. I’m worried for them when they wake up to the fact that they have been lied to 1914 wasn’t true 1975 wasn’t true 1999 wasn’t true and now here we are 2025 it’s all not true. I’m worried that mentally it’s very very dangerous and this is why many will go downhill mentally or may even take their own lives.
Ita far as safer to be physically in for the amazing social life and the fact they are so well taken care of but mentally either out or at least agnostic leaving room for the fact that the witnesses may be true about some things and it is beneficial to live by Bible standards, possibly I don’t know for sure.
It’s a paradox because some PIMIs are so genuinely happy due to beliefs that are not true. But they have this hope so real that they are happy now because they genuinely believe the Bibles promises.
The same can be said for many other belief systems, Buddhist and Islam beliefs if they are fully indoctrinated they are happy believing something that is not true.
its very dangerous though if you wake up before you die then its very hard to cope with the fact that you believed something that wasn’t true all your life.
this is why I think either PIMA or POMA is safest.
it’s amazing how it comes into conversations when I’m talking to someone and in their mind the end is really literally just around the corner so of course it affects the decisions they make and when they’re asking me about decisions I make I gotta be careful that it doesn’t come across that I don’t think the end is just around the corner and I need to plan a head and I’m thinking about retirement whereas they absolutely are not which I think is also very dangerous
some other things that I hear them talk about it’s obvious that they genuinely believe the governing body. They really literally are gods spokesperson on Earth and they refer to being obedient to the governing body like being obedient to Jehovah and when I talk about the vaccine they genuinely believe that Jehovah wants them to keep taking the booster shots. Jehovah told them it was safe the governing body whatever they say. It’s just like Jehovah saying and Jehovah told them the vaccine is safe and effective and it’s all lies that it causes blood blood clots that’s all lies from Satan‘s world and apostatethey keep going to take their boosters.

PIMA is best so it’s not a shock to the system if the tower collapsed
