I can't believe this!!!!!!!
by Delite2k ini am so upset i don't know where to begin!
i met this guy back in dec. at my job, during the first week i started.
(i had a post in the past about my dating him, he's a jw) everything was going cool, except for the fact that: 1) he had a second job as a producer/dj and 2) he didn't have a car, he had to borrow his parents car.

Question for those who believe the bible.
by seven006 ina thread started by realist which mentioned the flood and the disappearance of the dinosaurs got me thinking.
since i do not own a bible i had to download one from the internet to check a few things out (my computer is really pissed at me now).
it's been many years since i read the bible but i needed to be accurate in my research to ask my question.

They CAN'T admit there is a HUGE problem of MORAL corruption and degradation within their ranks because IT BLOWS THEIR VOW / LIFE LONG BELIEF OF JW's BEING GOD'S ONLY TRUE RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION ON EARTH!!
It is as if they are being stripped naked and nude for all the world to see.
How can "Jehovah's" [I hate that WORD being used for God by the way] TRUE VISIBLE ORGANIZATION be so OVER WROUGHT with the most detestable disgusting degrading thing on the face of the earth?

I personally do not need to believe in myth to be a good person and be happy.
You are absolutely right by YOUR OWN definition of happiness and good. But...
A few realities that were once called 'myths' because of lack of understanding:
the earth being round
atoms
germs
XRays
Lack of understanding doesn't necessitate a reality being a myth, rather just a lack of understanding.
In Noah's day, so much of the KNOWN static physical laws would have been put to the test SIMULTANEOUSLY at such a cataclysmic event, I don't think anyone could just explain it all away with simplicity.
Besides, what's harder to believe, the flood or bringing the dead back to life?
For me, the latter takes more faith than the flood. My faith believes God can raise the dead. HOW? Beats the $h_t outa me...
Flood? Beats the $h_t outa me...
Bottom line, if your HAPPY great! But, I don't understand why the inquiry?
