  Elders testing some promising men by talking like an apostate?

  couple years ago as a promising ms i had some weird conversations with two young elders.

  it was always as we where alone only i and the elder.

  they would initiate a conversations about things like blood doctrine, celebrating birthdays, view on homosexuality etc.

  I was just looking at the lyrics of Walk Like An Egyptian, to try and create a "Talk Like An Apostate" parody, but it was a bit too complex to pull off 😞.

  It reminds me of all those fake questions posed by loyal JWs on Quora, the ones that are supposedly by apostates asking gotcha questions, but are just a straw man to be knocked down by the loyal ones.

  It makes you wonder how loyal those loyal ones are, really. By WT rules, they shouldn't be engaging at all with people whom they consider to be apostates.

  Interestingly, any elders who are going to try these "sting operation" tactics have to be able to get the right sorts of doubts to sound like they might be sincerely questioning; are they reading "apostate" literature and sites to find the right kinds of questions?

  does anyone remember seeing old watchtowers in their kingdom hall library before they destroyed them all, of the watchtower annoucing jehovah from pleiades kingdom.

  i am 72 years old and i remeber seeing these old magazines somewhere..

  Hotels for convention

  a department in bethel wants to try to make money from regional conventions by asking local hotels if they will give a special rate and a coupon code to give to jws.. .

  they should just keep it simple and not be greedy for dishonest gain.. .

  this year some convention sites the hotels said no thank you i think the jws are going to book with us anyway.

  That only needs to be modified slightly to make it refer to the GB: "Here we have the enablers of convicted paedophiles, cordoned off from the world in their compound... and they pass their decrees to their followers outside every week and they OBEY without question ".

  Interestingly, there is little difference between cult leaders directing their cult from jail or from a secure compound.

  Well that answers the question I asked on another thread about whether or not the whole Alcyone thing had any biblical weight. Apart from being the main star in the Pleiades (which are mentioned) it's a projection from astronomy.

  given that the ban on smoking 🚬 is completely unbiblical*, might they ever remove it?.

  *even mainstream christianity can only come up with one verse "against" it, the one that says that the body is the temple of the holy spirit.

  *Even mainstream Christianity can only come up with one verse "against" it, the one that says that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. But on that basis, eating too much fatty or sugary food is equally sinful.

  That might be the reason for the facility in Argentina that the GB will supposedly retire to if things get too hot. Extradition might not be possible if they are only wanted for a certain input on policy, rather than being charged with anything criminal.
