There are plenty of biblical passages about wearing the consequences of your actions: sowing and reaping, for example. I wonder if they'll make the connection?

My grandmother called my mother
by Anony Mous inso, i’m just posting this as a warning to lurking jws.
if you’re still on the fence, here is a story.. my grandmother, now in her 80s hasn’t talked to anyone in the family for over 20 years ever since my mother was the last one of her children that left ‘the truth’, she had sent my mother a card to never talk to her again.
so here we are 21 years later, she gets a call out of the blue that she needed help, she hadn’t been able to get into her kitchen.

How do they reconcile their behaviour with the sheep 🐑 and goats 🐐 passage? The sheep 🐑 were identified by how they treated the least of Jesus's brethren, especially visiting them when sick. Don't tell me, there's some f***ed up JW doctrine that only the anointed count as Jesus' brethren, so you can treat everyone else however you damned well like!

Thoughts on annual meeting “new light”
by FFGhost inso, i finally saw the annual meeting video part 2.. this is the one with the “new light” on who might survive armageddon, vs. those who do not.. in summary, for those of you fortunate enough not to have to sit through it, it’s something like this:.
old light: once the “great tribulation” starts, that’s it for non-jws.
the “door of the ark” is closed.

ElderBerry: "The first talk Br Winder said something about Jehovah couldn’t reveal all his plans to Abraham because he was too stupid. Or words to that effect which is very patronising to Abraham."
New light: The GB were too stupid to have everything fully revealed to them.

I've never understood why they were so meticulous about keeping records that they knew could be used against them if they ever came to light. If they wanted to keep everything on the QT, they should never have committed anything to writing.

JW prepper fiction
by Teddnzo inthere have been a few fictional books written about jw interpretations of the future.
one brother called ek johnson has written a few jw prepper fictional books based on jw timeline of events great tribulation and all.. i love prepper fiction particularly post apocalyptic prepper fiction but not zombie fiction i’m fed up of those.
i view jw fiction the same as the rest, just like any good fiction.

Is The GB Paranoid? And Should They Be?
by NotFormer inthe gb seems to have a bunker mentality, that they are special, and that the world is out to get them, so they tend to keep within their tightly controlled, protective environment.
bottlegate proved that there is some danger outside of the rarified atmosphere of their echo chamber; you never know when a camera might be trained on you, or that someone might recognise you as being something more than plain old "joe citizen".
further, tm3's new address was quickly found and distributed, and (as i understand it) someone drove to his gated community to tell the security guard that tm3's "ass is grass".

Athanasius, that's very cloak and dagger, but not entirely unfeasible. After all, with all the suggestions about people in that area to keep their eyes open, presumably Tony spotting, the GB might well have moved him somewhere else when the address leaked. Or they leaked it themselves and he was never there. The intrigue in this case is palpable!

I remember someone writing that sort of thing a couple of decades or so ago. It had only JWs surviving (and a few who didn't make it). Jehovah, Jesus and the glorious ones didn't actually turn up to direct things. It rapidly became Lord of the Flies, IIRC.
It may even be on here. Or wherever Armageddon Okies are archived.

Hotels for convention
by ElderBerry ina department in bethel wants to try to make money from regional conventions by asking local hotels if they will give a special rate and a coupon code to give to jws.. .
they should just keep it simple and not be greedy for dishonest gain.. .
this year some convention sites the hotels said no thank you i think the jws are going to book with us anyway.

Scully, I guess in an environment where people were encouraged to take lesser jobs for the greater good, i.e. to allow more time in field service, there would have been a lot of frugal pragmatism. Back then, conventions and assemblies were a much bigger deal and better frequented than what is being reported in recent times. So the WT would have still got decent kickbacks from the obedient "ones" booking as they were told.
I doubt that that dynamic exists anymore. The big out of town meetings aren't attended like they were, there're plenty of PIMOs who will do the bare minimum, JWs in general are just tired and disillusioned. If ever there was a graph over time showing JWs who book through approved channels versus those who make their own arrangements, it would be most interesting to see how much things have changed.

Are You Ready for the Most Important Day of the Year?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inluke 22:14 so when the hour came, he reclined at the table along with the apostles.
and he said to them: “i have greatly desired to eat this passover with you before i suffer; 16 for i tell you, i will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of god.” 17 and accepting a cup, he gave thanks and said: “take this and pass it from one to the other among yourselves, 18 for i tell you, from now on, i will not drink again from the product of the vine until the kingdom of god comes.”.
19 also, he took a loaf, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: “this means my body, which is to be given in your behalf.

Ah yes, "the most important day of the year". The day you watch the fellowship meal get whisked past you because it is denied to you by your spiritual betters!

Just came across this thread. Let me get this straight: they want you to lodge a digital blood declaration so that you can't "accidentally" lose your blood card?
Bottom line: they want you to die! 😱😡🤬
There are not enough bad words in the English language to properly express my contempt and disdain for that #@&*€% GB! 🤬😡😤😠
