I was young and naive then. In hindsight, I wish I had punched him in the fucking mouth and knocked out his front 4 teeth.
I hate the JW's.
Thanx reborn, I felt the same exact way when my grandmother died.
going to that funeral this week made me think about a few things.. first the family members that attended, who btw were not dubs, were shedding tears.
i did not see anyone else there crying even though the woman who died was a great friend and will really be missed.. now since the dubs have the hope of the "resurrection" does that allieviate their grief that they should normally posess?
does that mean they are "happy" when someone dies because their wait is over?

everytime a new revelation comes to the board, some suggest that this is the big one.
whether it be the blood issue, the u n debacle, the silentlambs saga, some cryptic comment about jw's and their involvement with churches, it seems like nothing effects the jehovah's witnesses rank and file.
personally.
I think people feel that they're in some kind of battle with the organization. It's like its the JW's vs. those who left, and so on and so forth, where they have to see an end to the borg once and for all or their lives can't go on. What I'm about to say is controversial, so fire away. There are people here who would have no lives without the organization's existence. They live in 1975, 1993, or some other time period, one that they can't get out of. Animal and I talked about this the other day when we met. I think the vast majority of us have picked up the pieces, saw our lives as JW's in context, and have moved on. Others have an unusual vendetta against the society. I mean, look at all the time some of you guys spend here. It seems like some of you spend every waking moment of your lives pursuing the grief, the shattered memories, the lost opportunities. Granted, I have not gone through what some of you have, in which case I am undeserving of writing this post. But think about this for a second, imagine if the organization collapsed tomorrow, meaning no organization, no structure, no orders from the top down. What would you have? A lot, if not most of the people in the borg would be in denial for the rest of their lives, becuase that's the only way they can see the world, though the governing body's eyes. It's just so tied in to their belief system. But imagine your lives. You wouldn't have anything to post on anymore. The organization would be gone, finished, kaput. Now ask yourselves what would you do then, move on with your lives, or grieve over an organziation that doesn't exist anymore? The battle that rages on is more complex than any one of us can imagine. It's the fish swimming upstream, its the guy standing in front of the tank. Jehovah's Witnesses, like the mormons, like the moonies, will go on forever as long as there are people who want to be used. Live with it, it's just a fact of life. It'ds a profitable business, and it will be around as long as they are capable of making a profit. Think about it, they've been around longer than most businesses. It's just a fact of life. It's a battle of the individual versus the collective, so don't expect any mass exodus soon.

I don't know if CHEVYSNTATS is right with 14 and 25. Obviously, I had another movie in mind with 25. #14 is another film. I'm thinking neo-realist, roberto rosselini...

I auxillary pioneered two months. The first month I auxillary pioneered, I did it the month after I graduated from high school. It was all a blur, I didn't remember that much. The second time I pioneered I only got 44 hours in. Interestingly, I never got counsel because of it. It's true, a moment in world history where the elders were actually cool.

what chatup lines do you think jws were most likely to use to pull at say an assembly, mmmmm i wonder if they prepared them like say doing a talk,i bet they did because most i knew seemed under pressure to meet someone and a lot of ones i knew never pulled at assemblys due to such boring conversations with others, i mean what could they talk about.
so cmon what chatup lines are likely to work.
Pretty similar to the one Ralph Wiggum told Lisa on "The Simpsons"

Yep gilwarrior, you got all of them: 10, 17, and 24 correct. BTW, wasn't Jesus played by a woman in L'Age D'Or (very blasphemous). I also like the scene where they threw a priest out the window. And yes, #17 does first appear in Kurosowa's Yojimbo.

Stinky Pantz got #25 right. #28 is actually from another film, one with Christopher Walken. I don't know if #17 was imitated in idle hands (I have never seen the film. If it was, tell me, I'll give it to you) but it was a scene in films by Kurosowa and David Lynch. #21 actually was a scene on a Danish television series by Lars Von Trier (I'm dropping some big hints here just to get things going), and #10 was a scene in a foreign film by Luis Bunuel.
