by mP infirstly most of us in the west are not aware of this very interesting character.
a self proclaimed brother of christ who at one stage actually had many thousands and millions of followers in china only 150 years ago.

Firstly most of us in the west are not aware of this very interesting character. A self proclaimed brother of christ who at one stage actually had many thousands and millions of followers in China only 150 years ago. The interesting point is his movment was about the time Rutherford was young and it did not completely disappear until the early 1900s. Was Rutherford thinking of Hong, when he was making up all the return of Christ presence stuff in 1914 ?
This guy really changed the history of China, including the downfall of the emperor and was a major inspiration for Mao and the communist movement.

Jesus an X JW and living in Australia?
by mind blown inalan john miller (1962), more commonly known as a.j.
miller, a former jehovah's witness elder member and now leader of the australia-based divine truth movement.
[44] miller claims to be jesus christ after reincarnating in the 20th century with others to spread messages of what he calls the "divine truth".

Lets not forget that Jesus brother lived in China just over a hundred years ago with millions of followers. He actually established a kingdom on earth and was in control of parts of China. He might have been the return of Jesus that Rutherford was talking about.

What Do Changes Tell You About The GB?
by metatron ini read the may (public) wt and noted how it was almost indistinguishable from the awake - including stuff for small children to read!.
now, why would they create two 16 page magazines?
why not one 32 page awaketower?
-
mP
It seems to me these GBs are very much corporate types, its all abotu the money.
Moving the Canada leaving Brooklyn, cutting mags, selling bethels, KH and other properties, there seems to be very little theology while money seems to king in all their decisions.

Why does Jesus have to age so much as indicated in the pic of him as an exalted king? I missed most of the theocratic school --- obviously, missed something. I don't like their rendition of him in that shot. ..." LV101
Hee hee hee hee !!!
He's aged prematurely, watching the Governing Body mis-handle "his" flock - flip-flopping on blood transfusions, setting various dates for "Armageddon" - plus the stress of thinking "Jehovah" doesn't love 'him', anymore, since the Governing Body claims to have more influence with "Jehovah" than 'HE' does...
Or the Governing Body is deliberately mis-representing him [yes, I know.... ] as "over-the-hill", so they can usurp even more of his 'divine authority'....
I believe they age him to contrast him with how Jesus is depicted in mainstream society. He is either a baby or dead on a cross. The gospels only cover a few days amounting to about a fortnight of Jesus life. We actually know very little about him. Nobody even knows what year he was born or when he died, we just assume he was born around 0 and died around 33 or is that 30 ?
Did he preach for 3 years or 1, depends on which gospel you ask.

@band
Australia? It is similar to choosing to live in New Jersey (the land where I was raised). Baby, we were born to run---out of Jersey.
MP
Have you actually been here ?
If there was a promised land, God should have told the Jews about Australia.
Most places on earth are at the very least overcrowded, pollutted and at times violent, none of these are in Australia. Its a blessing literally its so far from everywhere else, because no body knows about it.

Do believers worry about stretching the truth when defending the troof ?
by mP inwe all know that most jw have trouble quoting the bible.
however assuming they give scriptures, does it bother them that the scriptures say something completely different from the point they are defending ?
do they check or just assume the wts is right and it doesnt matter what it actually says ?.

@blondie
Take the lie of Micah 5:2 predicting Jesus being born in Bethlehem. Anyone who reads it is really stretching the truth to make that apply to Jesus...They plain out ignore the text where it says he will defeat the Assyrians. THe text also fails to mention Gods son or Messiah.

King Arthur = Horus
by mP insorry, i made a recent post regarding the sun god connection with king arthur.
- king arthur is mythological, no real archeological evidence has ever been found.. - 12 knights =12 disciples = 12 months of the year.
- lionness - wiki says otherwise but one cant help but still see a connection with the sun.

Sorry, i made a recent post regarding the sun god connection with King Arthur.
- King Arthur is mythological, no real archeological evidence has ever been found.
- 12 Knights =12 Disciples = 12 months of the year
- Lionness - wiki says otherwise but one cant help but still see a connection with the Sun. Seven is of course another Sun related number as in 7 planets+sun+moon.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyoness
Deriving from a false etymology of Lyonesse, the 'City of Lions' was said in some later traditions to be the capital of the legendary kingdom, situated on what is today the Seven Stones reef , some eighteen miles west of Land's End and eight miles north-east of the Isles of Scilly.

- Camelot is based on "cam" the name the ancient egyptians gave to their home land.

Name
The Welsh form Gwenhwyfar, which seems to be cognate with the Irish name Findabair, can be translated as The White Enchantress, or alternately The White Fay/Ghost, from Proto-Celtic *Uindo- "white, fair, holy" + *seibarV(V=vowel) "magic" (cf. Old Irish sÃabar "magic"). [1] [2] [3] Some have suggested that the name may derive from "Gwenhwy-fawr" or Gwenhwy the Great, contrasting the character to "Gwenhwy-fach" or Gwenhwy the less;
- Arthur was involved in 12 battles
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_arthur
How much of this narrative was Geoffrey's own invention is open to debate. Certainly, Geoffrey seems to have made use of the list of Arthur's twelve battles against the Saxons found in the 9th-century Historia Brittonum , along with the battle of Camlann from the Annales Cambriae and the idea that Arthur was still alive . SORRY
I was asked for the book taht goes into this detail, unfortunately i cant find, i got a replacement Kindle the other day and dont remember all the books that were on it. I will have to search my PDFs etc.
Other points of interest is that the name Arthur can be traced to ancient Egyptian and was related to the sun or horus in some way. Without the book i cant get into further detail.
I believe in short what we are seeing with the Arthur story is an attempt by man to transform the Sun and its journeys in the Sky into a real man, a bit like the story of Horus. Over time the legend added some local historical elements which is why the story seems quite different from something Egyptian. However we can see by examining particularly the etymology of the key figures that there is a fit for ancient Egyptian religion in there.

Nuts!!!
The NT manuscript evidence undebatedly supports 1st century authorship. Start with the John Rylands papyrus and compare that to anything from antiquity, then consider the additional thousands of pieces of MS evidence coming from commentaries quoting the NT from the 2nd - 5th centuries. Arguing against it is as narrowminded as a JW denying the prophecies of CTR. Reread the Gospels. It's in your face. Everywhere you can find the names, places and events supporting the messiahship of Jesus. You can't heal people that do not exist. That Paul's point in Acts in his trial with Agrippa (26:26).
You can decide not to be grateful to God but you cannot deny that God has left enough physical evidence to reasonably put your faith in his Son.
You people's problem is that you are so used to someone lying to you, you cannot tell when someone is telling the truth. And the False Prophet wins.
Your Rylands papyrus is the size of a coin and has barely a few words on it. Thats hardly proof of the entire contents of the NT.
Take a look at the papyrus, is that really proof that the bible has not been altered ? The dead sea scrolls and nag hamrabbi scrolls have many interesting stories that are dated before jesus and they tell many similarities. Xians never mentions these texts because they are uncannily similar to the gospel stories or have very different messages which they want to hide.
