  Can a JW sell to a church?

  Books used to study with JWs - what are they?

  I always found it funny the questions people would ask when my wife was having a 'bible' study.

  2. What book are you studying?

  It's supposed to be a 'bible' study but it's automatically assumed/implied you're not studying the bible. Rather you're studying some Watchtower publication.

  1. Satan uses the media to smear the Watchtower's reputation.

  2. Satan directs weak JWs to view news articles about the Watchtower's legal battle with an abuse victim.

  3. Satan allows the courts to fine the JWs.

  Satan must have also allowed pedophiles into the JWs, and have directed high ranking JW brothers to protect pedophiles. Enabling them to continue abusing children.

  if one were to poll present day jehovah's witnesses, what kind of a timeframe do you think they have for armageddon?.

  do they still discourage higher education despite the fact they've been wrong so many times?.

  one more thing about armageddon...how do they think it's going to start?

  JW's will foam at the mouth if you pray to Jesus? Do they try to tell you this prior to the big sting?

  it took me 7 years to figure out that jeho's are mortified to sit in the room if you pray to jesus.

  i've prayed to jesus my entire life.

  i tell my estranged spouse that she can pound sand if she doesn't like me praying to jesus with my two little girls.. i tell her and her mom to pound lots and lots of sand if you think i"m going to stop praying to jesus.

  How do you figure " But so that we may not cause offense" were Peter's words?

  It's obvious Jesus paid the tax so as to "not cause offense". Not because it was the "right" thing to do, or because they were enthusiastic about it.

  Jesus says the same, after all he encourages people to be obedient to all government paying their taxes multiple times. The story of J & Mary travelling is another example of extreme obedience. Even with a pregnant wife Joseph will do anything to pay his taxes.

  Jesus didn't sound too overly enthusiastic about paying taxes. It sounds more like he paid the tax begrudgingly.

  24 After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?”

  25 “Yes, he does,” he replied.

  When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—from their own children or from others?”

  I suspect a lot of the older ones see it for what it is. They cling on because all their friends are "in the truth", they gave up on worldly friends decades ago, and it's really hard to make new friends at that age. They're just going through the motions, putting in a token amount of "field service" each month. And like you said they're waiting on Jehovah to fix things.
