I know of many brothers (and sisters) who commute long distances to neighbouring congregations, just to avoid certian people in their own congregation.

So where is all this supposed worldwide persecution of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by Reality79 infor years, it was drummed into our heads that the whole world lies in the hands of the wicked one who hates us and a result, mankind particularly hates the jws with a passion.. now that i think about it, i've seen very little evidence of that.
i mean yes, in places like malawi, germany and some other countries the witnesses have been through real persecution - not the type that the average dub would call it like doors being slammed in the face.
but what have they experienced that many other religions in other countries haven't?

There's JW persecution everywhere around the globe ... if you have JW goggles/mindset.

NSA spying on Vatican! My JW parents are SOO EXCITED!
by BU2B init just came out yesterday that the nsa has spied on the vatican and pope francis.
when i went over my parents house yesterday, you could see the excitement, the energy in their eyes when they talked about it.
my dad even pumped his fist like he won something when he was talking about it.

@emeth - "Did that disqualify the apostles and bible writers? Maybe you think so and certain christians in their time did too and walked away from the faith."
If the bible writers expressed falsely held views, as truth, in their writings. Perhaps it would have disqualified them.
On the other-hand the GB/Watchtower have a consistent track-record of publishing verifiability false prophecy. This should be enough proof they are false prophets. -

My wife pointed out the picture below to me. She was surfing a news website and she said "Look! Four generations of the royal family in one picture". Without even thinking I replied "No. It's only one generation".
She proceeded to point and count saying:- "Look. One, two, three, four... See it's four". I said "No, you've got it wrong. It's one overlapping generation according to Watchtower logic". She looked at me with a strange "don't say that in front of the kids" type look. So I said "the kids need to know what a generation is too".

Mark 7:15
There is not [even] one thing outside a man which by going into him can pollute and defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defile him and make him unhallowed and unclean. -

Sunday's Talk
by biometrics inso my wife has started going to sunday meetings again.
when she returns home i ask her what she learned.. yesterday's talk was about "putting up with brothers and sisters who suffer depression" (in my wife's words).
this confirms my suspicions that there's a high percentage of jws who suffer from depression disorders.

^^ Could have been. I didn't read it so I wouldn't know.

So my wife has started going to Sunday meetings again. When she returns home I ask her what she learned.
Yesterday's talk was about "putting up with brothers and sisters who suffer depression" (in my wife's words). This confirms my suspicions that there's a high percentage of JWs who suffer from depression disorders. In my opinion living as a JW possibly causes depression.
This is worth a read. It almost perfectly describes the behaviour of most Jehovah's Witnesses I've known.

The bathroom wasn't free and nature's call was becoming too insistent?
Not likey. He was about 200 meters from his house. And he was outside his fully fenced yard. There's 100s of places he could have releived himself that would have been more private. Also, he has quite a big house. So there's at least two bathrooms.
