JWs knocked on my door on Saturday, interesting experience...
by socstu inas the title explains, i was going to type it up here but then realised i wanted to share the experience a bit more widely.
so if you're interesting in reading about it and hopefully talking about it then just go to my blog: http://reflexiveaction.wordpress.com.

Young people growing up as Jehovah's Witnesses
by socstu init's been a while since i've posted on here, but the last time i did i was looking for young people to take part in my dissertation research.
well that was a whole year ago now and i can tell you i was very happy and relieved to have received a first class on the paper.. i've subsequently just wrote a blog post on the topic.
it's not a copy of my dissertation, but more of a musing which is very much informed by all my interviews.. anyway i hope you find it somewhat interesting:.

Image of Jehovah's Witnesses?
by socstu ini'm looking for an image to use of the jws, it needs to be quite easy to identify them so i was thinking two people on the ministry or something like that.
i was looking in the yearbooks but nothing really caught my eye, can anyone think of a specific picture which may do the job?

If Jesus is coming Passover night and trying to save his followers, are JW all around world would be saved? According to the WT article, The answer is...
by learnaway inthe modern jewish calendar determines the beginning of their month of nisan by the astronomical new moon.
however, usually it is eighteen hours or more later when the first sliver of the crescent of the new moon becomes visible in jerusalem.
each year, in recent times, the governing body of jehovahs witnesses has determined the actual new moon that becomes visible in jerusalem, which is the way the first of nisan was determined in biblical times.
