nothing in the bible is symbolic, because saying things that are symbolic in the bible, is like calling jehovah a liar, god would not write something like in the bible, then out of no where, it really means something else... example: 144,000, some people said's that's symbolic, lol yea right.... .

anyway it seems like no one here wants to lived in the new earth, my question is why?

Jesus says in Matthew 5:37 to "Just let YOUR word Yes mean Yes, YOUR No, No; for what is in excess of these is from the wicked one."

Why are you being wicked? Do you really want to reject Jesus and his admonition to you?

Earth to Dad

i just got an email from my jw-elder-dad (correspondence is rare).

mom & dad will not be attending my grandfather's funeral because it is a military ceremony.

the response is so borg-conceived i must quote some:.

Broken down it looks like this:

...we will do what we know is best, regarding (Grandpa's) funeral.

'...it doesn't matter how much pain I will cause my Mother or my FLESHLY family. The Watchtower says we can't go.'

(Son), we learned through many personal experiences & the many experiences of others,

that upholding Jehovah's Principles always works out for the better. We have clean consciences, & true joy in knowing that we haven't violated those Principles.

'I'm afraid of losing my status as an elder'

Mom & I can only try our best to follow our Bible-trained consciences, despite our imperfections.

'See how humble we are? Please piss on us, Watchtower, we love it.'

When we do Jehovah's will, it makes his heart glad, too, & that is even more important than our own feelings of victory.

I know that it is hard for you to understand at this stage in your life,

'just in case I didn't make it clear that I'm talking down to you'

but Jehovah has been very good to us, and even promises us a better future, despite the joy we have right now.

'we are so happy because we are able to ignore you and your sister and don't have to worry about any of your problems anymore...all with a clean conscience!'

it is beyond compare

AlanF gave me a virus!

not the one that posts here...but i recently received an email from an 'alanf' saying there was important info inside.

when i opened it, it did nothing.

turns out it was a virus and thankfully i got rid of it.

The latest virus is a worm that also uses addresses in your notebook to send to YOU. Which means the source of the email is not necessarily the person who has the email address. Unfortunately, it is possible for anyone in the world to use any email address. For instance, I could send you an email from your own email address and you would never know it came from me. One of the people I supposedly got the worm email from is my sister from a closed email address. She can no longer use the email account personally because it is closed, yet the worm uses the Internet to send me an email from that address.

If you have WORM_KLEZ.G you will think you are getting the emails from your friends, but it is very possible that they did not nor did their computer send it to you.

JW's Sell Kingdom Hall

a while back, i told of my wife going by our old kingdom hall and surprised to see an american flag hanging by the window.

i thought this was picture worthy news, and some of you agreed.. well it turns out the congregation sold the hall to a phillipino church.

The Kingdom Hall I used to attend is now a martial arts studio. One of the pioneer sisters from the congregation works there as a cleaning person.

Letter Fedexed To All Congregations

my brother sent me this email:.

at the kingdom hall last night the po read a letter that the society had fedexed to all congregations debriefing the friends on the dateline program.

basically they said that jehovah's witnesses do not harbor, endorse or support pedophiles and every since 1997 they have instructed the elders to bring to the attention of the local authorities any person who was guilty of child molestation.

Dunno why - they had the time - but this smacks of short notice work.

Maybe they thought Jehovah would send more planes into NY buildings to distract the media and delay the broadcast.
