  t's admirable that you are one of the few here that stands up to these assholes who not only detract from genuine issues, but actually harm our efforts. The people here who NEVER stand up in these threads bear responsibility for their silence.

  What exactly are, in your opinion, "our efforts"? And, what do you mean by trying to scare everyone into taking your side on this issue, or else we will "bear responsibility for" our silence?

  Why are you so concerned about a relatively unimportant issue, (Russell was or was not associated with the Freemasons)? And, how can we verify your opinions above to be fact?

  The "mini-god" Elder syndrome...

  professor: since you stated in another thread that your dad sees himself as a "mini-god", it got me wondering.

  does jehovah, if he actually exists, views the gb/the elders and other religious leaders along with jesus as "mini-me"s, as in the "austin powers" characters?.

  what is it with hardcore jw's who think that everytime an elder speaks everyone should drop what they're doing and listen?.

  i was over a relative's house the other day when two elders came by for a shepherding call.

  they wound up talking to the wife because the husband, who fell away after the 1975 fiasco, was hiding out in the back of the house.

  Oh yes. They can put the definition of humility on just about anything. It is all just an act and it is completely ridiculous. When I find myself mirroring this behavior, it annoys me very much.

  While I was still in the dubs, the elders were gradually being elevated to mini-gods within the congregations, at least here they were.

  My father is an elder and believe me, he IS a mini-god in his own eyes.

  How could have Rutherford been a 'drunk'?

  i feel that the apostate's claims that rutherford was a drunk to be far fetched.

  on the one hand, they claim that he was so drunk that the brothers at bethel shipped him to san diego to beth sarim, where he stayed drunk out of his mind, then on the other hand, they claimed that he ruled the society with an iron fist, that he was a dictator.

  no drunk could have ruled the society like a dictator.

  These are not the accusations that you listed or were responding to. Do you really think someone can't be in charge of a publishing company because they are a drunk? Richard Nixon was a drunk and he ran the country.

  there is a poster on this board with the moniker 'd8ta' that has called a female poster a 'bitch' and another female poster a 'whore' and yet you men let him get away with it.

  Wholewheat,

  What does it matter to you why we are here? Are you on a crusade to draw people away from this board? From many of your posts, it seems that way. Relax, man (or woman as it may be, have you said yet?). We're not going anywhere, and some of your tactics do nothing but make the JW's look silly. I come here because I enjoy interacting with people who have had similar life experiences. I have arrived at a clearer understanding about many things from reading and posting here. I enjoy the association and it helps me to clear my mind of some JW thinking that does not made sense upon closer examination (not that all I learned as a JW was 100% wrong).

  There is nothing wrong with taking a contradictory position, as when you made your stand against evolution. That was one of your more intelligent posts because you actually had something of substance to say. People will respect what you say a lot more if you just calm down and make intelligent comments, instead of using tactics to denounce the entire board in one sweep, which isn't getting you anywhere here.

  As you know full well, because you post here, not everyone here is an "apostate" or "ExJW". There is no need to use these words so repetitively as if it will accomplish something. Honestly you have used these words sometime 20 times in one post! Instead of labeling, I recommend addressing the issues at hand. Thanks.

  actually a friend of mine, alex, (who hopefully might read this and commence posting on this board) has been insisting for 20 years that women are naturally bi sexual.

  i laughed at his claims.. but now, looking around here, and based on numerous group chats ive had with women on this site, there seems to be some evidence that his theory is correct.

  I guess you still don't understand that you are being asked a question. Where did you hear all of these accusations that you are responding to. I cannot find them here? You have been asked to provide this, but keep paraphrasing. Who or what are you responding to? Please let us know where you have read or heard these things, unless you are talking to yourself.
