We lived there for a year. Ironically I have never had that morbid fear of demons. Not sure what causes so called paranormal activity but I am not particularly worried about it. Besides in a jaw's eyes I am from the devil myself and "mentally diseased" lol

Many years ago I lived in a small house rented from the estate of an elderly sister who was receiving inpatient treatment for a severe mental disorder. I experienced many strange things in the year I lived there. I always felt as though someone was in the room and was never comfortable sitting in a chair that was not against a wall. My dog (and subsequent dogs of future owners) had severe anxiety in the house and destroyed woodwork trying to get out, a problem that miraculously resolved the instant we moved. My husband was an MS at the time and kept having problems with a paint like substance on his suits that could not be removed. When we moved he was going to just throw them away and poof. The paint was gone in the new house. Don't know exactly what was going on but it was rather peculiar.

When do you think there will be a revised "Reasoning Book"
by Amelia Ashton inbecause i was abroad we had to use the original revelation book and only the reader had the new improved version so i don't know if this was the same else where but following along using the old version made the adjustments seem even more ludicrous.. why didn't they ensure everyone had the new version before studying it rather than highlight all the "adjustments" that had to be made in a km and therefore making them more obvious?.
do you think there could be a list of amendments to be inserted into the reasoning book in the same way?.

I have know a couple of aunt Connie's thru the years. Those persons have ended up bitter and alone, left to wallow in their own misery. Hopefully she can find strength within to free herself from her self imposed torment.

I had to gather up the courage but felt no guilt and have had none since because I KNOW it's not the truth and I KNOW it is a cult made up of men making nit picky rules who have no hold over me anymore. I don't post very frequently but this forum has helped me see so many different perspectives. Sometimes I am surprised at some people's views but mostly I find the support and candor refreshing.

What's The Main Reason You Do Not Believe That The Witnesses Are The Best Religion?
by minimus insome people leave because they are fed up with the elders.
others have personality issues.
some have doctrinal and prophecy reasons.

I am forty and loving it. Freedom from the cult has done wonders for the soul and lightened the burden of living. Fortunately years of religious use of sunscreen is now paying off...it's the new 30 or maybe even the new 28 :)

Good Reasons To Hate Every Weak And Ex-Jehovah Witness.
by AuntConnie in1. my husband's time is finite, it's wasted on spouses arguing over money, sex or family mattters with stupid home visits.. .
i hate people's constant open hand for money, it's the weak individuals asking others to pull their weight.
my family worked extra hours instead of begging the strong members for district assembly money, cat food for seven cats or tiny little rag-a-muffins weiner dogs.. .

Connie- you are not the first to have different rules apply to you in your own family. My siblings are baptized but evaded the elders and are not disfellowshipped. They and their significant others are treated as family. My just not going to meetings has turned into the occasional battle of wills with bitter arguments about my daughters and my impending death at Armageddon. The hypocrisy disturbs me greatly especially since I was always the good child and still am. I just refuse to allow MEN to act as the Pharisees did and try to rule my life. It may not be fair. It may not be right but you are a big girl now so put on your big girl pants and suck it up or leave. You have those 2 choices.

You can make strides to separate yourself if you so choose but that will require effort to do so and a bit of a less judgmental attitude. As I walked out of the kh for the last time after a bitter exchange wit a high and mighty pioneer over slanderous gossip about my daughter, I finally felt a peace I had never known.
