ok so i send my father a letter telling him several reasons i do not believe the witnesses are jehovah's organization.i also told my father at the end of the letter that i was setting some boundaries once and for all.

that i would not be emotionally blackmailed or verbally abused anymore that if he wanted to talk to me as a father then i welcome that and if he can't do that then i do not wish to comunicate with him.

i sent it about a week ago and was waiting for all hell to break loose but nothing happend.

I'd stick to your guns about conducting the discussion in person. I'd put nothing in writing.

I'd also only discuss it one-to-one.

right now, to me being spiritual is all about being led by your inner spirit and includes .

1. being in tune with the goodness within and treating people how you would like to be treated.

2. being in tune with nature and appreciating the beauty and complexity of the universe.

Great question. I believe it's all about connection and growth.

I'm reading a great book at the mo called "The Road Less Travelled" by Scott Peck.

He makes no distinction between spiritual growth and mental growth.

It's an exploration of love and spirituality. Great read.

I started googling anonymous quotes (Ex. "One noted bible researcher stated:...") I found often the quote would be attrib'd to a preacher of CHRISTENDOM!!! That really chapped my hide. They purposfully didnt give refs on those quotes. But google knew who they were! :D

This is something I've only recently started doing. Googling quotes.

The thing is i probably viewed a thousand hours of porn online (literally) before I even entertained the thought about possibly viewing a site that might possibly even think about suggesting that the WTS could maybe be mistaken.................

I bet that is true of virtually every male JW.

The porn which the WT correctly highlights as damaging and addictive they all manage to overide their consciences and watch but "apostate stuff" they will avoid like the plague because "mother says so"
