LOL! Good question!
I wonder how this will turn out, though. In our cong. there are significantly fewer Auxiliary Pioneers than the first time the 30-hour requirement was announced. Thus far, it's a bust on that front.
the largest in history is what they are all buzzing about.
does this mean that jehovah will save the internet at armageddon?.

isn't it amazing that the elders are more loyal to a rubber stamp on a letter from new york or whatever branch, than they are to the people they know and have known for years in their own congregation?.
when you think about that, the reason is that they get their power from that rubber stamp.
that is what appointed them, and that is what can unappoint them.
Interesting thought. Words on a piece of paper are very powerful. Thus the saying, "The pen is mightier than the sword."
my dad died recently and was a long time jw.
we have had some interesting experiences with his passing and have been researching for other jw stories and there are none.
anyone know why?
Along the same lines, what about "connected" experiences, such as siblings who intrinsically know the other one is in trouble, or has even died? That seems to happen with twins, but it has even happened with siblings. I know of one JW sister who knew when her fleshly brother died before she was even told. She said she just had this unexplainable feeling that something terrible happened to him. It's not something JWs talk about much, either.
it will obviously make a difference to how jw's obtain their literatrash, they will have to download and print it all themselves before long.. it will make a small difference to the dtod work, they will now refer even genuine questions and interest etc to the site, not taking the opportunity to "witness" on the initial call at all.
this has been happening already to a degree.. the difference i am mainly interested in is the capture of new suckers in to the borg.. we will be able to see when we get 2014's figures, sometime next year, what the rate of increase was over the last ten years.. phizzy the prophet predicts that the rate of increase over the next ten years will not be significantly up.
probably down, but certainly, i feel, not so different from the last ten.. should i be around in ten years to do so, i will wish to ask jw's:.
You know, in thinking about this, who cares about number of visitors? It's about as helpful as number of return visits or bible studies. What matters is number of actual converts. Professional companies who look at their website statistics only view the number of unique visitors as a portion of the equation. It's called a conversion rate. What's the conversion rate? How many of the visitors become actual, paying customers?
The Bible doesn't have any passages that describes the number of people the disciples talked to, or the number of return visits, or the number of Scripture studies (they didn't have a Bible back then). They only reported the number actually baptized.
My point is, stating the number of visitors is simply a way to boast, and really means nothing. Of COURSE there's going to be an increase in the number of visitors with this campaign. No question about it. Draw attention to any site and more people will visit it. Briefly. In a month or so, the number of visitors with drop back down to the normal range, possibly a little higher. The more important figure is the number of people where are actually converted due to their exposure to the website as the FIRST introduction to the religion.

Our hall has someone. prob soon to become publisher. he requested study thru website. Young, educated, good looking. Exactly the type of person you would think would have nothing to do with the Borg.
That happened in our hall a couple of years ago, right when I was starting to wake up. The guy became a publisher, even went in service with him. I couldn't understand why he would join. But, soon after becoming a publisher, he "began to have doubts" and moved out of the territory. That was the end of him being a publisher.
hi guys!
is anyone sensing an increasingly sanctimonious arrogance in j-dubs recently?
im asking this as i am finding that with the two major news stories in the last few weeks (ie.
I watched "Apocalypse Later: Harold Camping vs. The End of the World" over the weekend. Fascinating documentary. JWs aren't the only ones, of course, but it was interesting to hear how the stats of how many Americans believe we are in "the last days". This documentary is an eye-opener into the minds of believers, and this isn't limited to JWs. JWs just have a harsher way of dealing with those who don't agree with them.
the whole article makes me ill with its worse than average mind control.. i was going to only include one quote but there are so many doozies that i will post what i feel to be the worst.. from paragraph 6.
"gods organization survives and flourishes on earth because the people who are part of it have his approval.".
the great tribulation has been "so close" for over 120 years of wt history.
P.S. Sorry for repeating some of what was in the OP. I was just typing as I was "studying" my lesson. I re-read the OP and realized I repeated some things. But, I think maybe they bear repeating for those of us who have to sit through this.

Par 16: "With the help of Paul's letter to the Hebrews, howwever, they accepted the fact that they had been sanctfied, not by means of sacrifices "offered according to the Law," but "through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.""
For the brave, you can comment: "Today, we too are sanctified through this same offering of the body of Christ, as it says, "once for all time". If we make sacrifices today in the kingdom preaching work, it is because we want to, not because we will be sanctified by means of them."

Par 5: "Regarding Armageddon, Bible prophecy states: "'Jehovah has a controversy with the nations. He will personally pass judgement on all humans."
Really?
John 5:22: "For the Father judges no one at all, but he has entrusted all the judging to the Son"
Rev 19:11: "I saw heaven opened, and look! a white horse. And the one seated on it is called Faithful and True, and he judges and carries on war in righteousness." (JWs accept that the one seatedd on the white horse is Christ)
Par 7: "For example, in a recent ten-year period--during the service years of 2003 through 2013--more than 2,707,000 individuals were baptized i symbol of their dedication to God."
While this may be true, here's a comment for anyone who wishes to make it:
According to the Yearbooks, in 2003, there was a peak of 6,429,351 publishers, and in 2012, the peak was 7,782,346 publishers. Simple math tells us that this was an increase of 1,352,995 publishers. So, while 2,707,000 were baptized, if we subtract the number of the increase from the number of those baptized, we get the number who either died, were disfellowshipped, disassociated or otherwise left God's organization. That amounts to 1,354,005 people.
If you're brave, you can add: "It's scary to see more that are no longer part of the organization than who became part of the organization in that ten-year period of time."
