There's no "contact us" section on the web site to give any feedback. I wonder just where said feedback is coming from. -

David Schafer's Mistake
by Hold Me-Thrill Me inthanks cappytan for posting the thread "jehovah's people as a whole can never be corrupted".
it's a sad example of how low in simple reading skills the present gb and their helpers are.
david schafer referred to philippians 4:7 on jw broadcasting.

Jehovah's people as a whole can never be corrupted
Pride is before a crash, And a haughty spirit before stumbling. - Prov 16:18
So let the one who thinks he is standing beware that he does not fall. - 1 Cor 10:12
For the Son of man is to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will repay each one according to his behavior. - Matt 16:27
So, then, each of us will render an account for himself to God. - Rom 16:12

The multitude that no man can number
by SonoftheTrinity inhow can protection from destruction at armageddon be solely with the jehovah's witnesses when the great multitude is one that no man could number while the jehovah's witnesses put great effort into cooking statistics of how many jws there are worldwide?
the unscriptural scare tactics they use are blatantly insulting to anyone who can read a bible.

I justified it by including in the "great crowd" the unrighteous that would be resurrected, but I'm not sure if that has any basis in the bible or JW doctrine.
Not possible.
In response one of the elders said to me: “These who are dressed in the white robes, who are they and where did they come from?” So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one who knows.” And he said to me: “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. - Rev 7:13,14
The resurrected ones don't appear until after Armageddon.
Not if the gathering is before the resurrection
Correct.

A little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough. - Gal 5:9
In context, this was regarding teachings (specifically circumcision) that were not in line with what Christ taught. Here's the context:
For such freedom Christ set us free. Therefore, stand firm, and do not let yourselves be confined again in a yoke of slavery.
2 See! I, Paul, am telling you that if you become circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you. 3 Again I bear witness to every man who gets circumcised that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law. 4 You are separated from Christ, you who are trying to be declared righteous by means of law; you have fallen away from his undeserved kindness. 5 For our part, we are by spirit eagerly waiting for the hoped-for righteousness resulting from faith. 6 For in union with Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is of any value, but faith operating through love is.
7 You were running well. Who hindered you from continuing to obey the truth? 8 This sort of persuasion does not come from the One calling you. 9 A little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough. 10 I am confident that you who are in union with the Lord will not come to think otherwise; but the one who is causing you trouble, whoever he may be, will receive the judgment he deserves. My point here is that the statement, "Jehovah's people as a whole can never be corrupted" is actually in error. A little leaven (a little bit of false teaching, a little bit of hypocrisy, a little bit of lording it over, etc.) CAN corrupt the entire batch.

Elders' Authority - Flock Book
by berrygerry inthe biggest surprise in the flock book was the hiding-for 3-years serious sin absolution provision for elders (if with "jehovah's evident blessing").. the second is the remark regarding an inactive person, and the situation:.
"is the person willing to meet with a committee, thus admitting accountability to the christian congregation?".
now, the bible says: i want you to know that the head of every man is the christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the christ is god.

From the Flock book. Bold and italics theirs.
19. If it comes to light or an appointed
brother confesses that he has committed a dis-
fellowshipping offense years in the past: The
body of elders may determine he can continue to
serve if the following is true: The immorality or other
serious wrongdoing occurred more than a few years
ago, and he is genuinely repentant, recognizing that
he should have come forward immediately when he
sinned. (Perhaps he has even confessed to his sin,
seeking help with his guilty conscience.) He has been
serving faithfully for many years, has evidence of
God’s blessing, and has the respect of the congrega-
tion.
20. If the sin occurred before he was appointed as
an elder or a ministerial servant, the elders will need
to take into consideration the fact that he should
have mentioned this possible impediment to his be-
ing qualified when elders interviewed him just prior
to announcing his appointment. Moreover, the na-
ture of the sin may reflect greatly on his qualifica-
tions to serve. For example, the sin may involve past
child abuse, and this would likely disqualify him for
many years.—w97 1/1 pp. 26-29; w77 pp. 697-698.
21. If the wrongdoing occurred within the past few
years while he was serving as an elder or a ministerial
servant, he is disqualified from serving as such, not
being “free from accusation.” (1 Tim. 3:2, 10; Titus 1:
6, 7) Depending on the circumstances, the situation
may also need to be handled by a judicial committee.

Phone call from a brother last night
by label licker inthe brother and his wife thought the statement at the end of this month's broad cast show was a little off.
the org stated that jehovah's organisation can not be corrupted.
(needless to say only three had shown up for the broadcast meeting at the hall) he's never heard that before so we filled him in as to what the org has been up to and gave him jwnet, jw facts as well as jw survey to look at.

We might not understand everything the FDS puts out but we will listen, obey and follow them since god is unsearchable and can not be found.
Did they actually say that?
The Bible NEVER says that God is unsearchable. His judgements are. (Rom 11:33) His understanding is. (Isa 40:28) His greatness is. (Ps 145:3) Things he does are. (Job 5:9; Job 9:10)
And, God will let himself be found. (1 Chron 28:8; 2 Chron 15:2,3,15) And the Bible tells us to search for God. (Isa 55:6)
I will have to watch the video for myself to see if they actually said that.
Many congs make the monthly broadcast available for those without computers. It's typical nowadays. Yep, another meeting to go to.

Aid to bible understanding in PDF format
by Aerodynamic indoes anyone have a pdf copy of the book "aid for bible understanding".
i would like to get a copy for some personal research i have engaged in.
i have the "insight books" online but that's not what i want to use.

Be careful with the online Insight book. The organization is quietly making changes to it. The article regarding the "Faithful and Discreet Slave", for example, has several changes to support the adjustments made in the 7/15/2013 WT.

A flaw in JW logic on sin and transmision
by _Morpheus inthe "special talk" this year was about family happiness.
as always seems to be the case it was a bait and switch job since the talk had actually nothing to do with how to achive family happiness and everything to do with jw doctrine on why familys are unhappy.
mine is unhappy because of jw doctrine but thats the implied irony in attending the sunday indoctrination i suppose.. that said, the speaker trotted out the oft used jw illistration of a dented bread pan to describe why and how sin was passed from one human (adam) to another (all of us).

You're right, it's a flaw. Sin is not genetic. Even death is not genetic. Perfect angels sinned. (2 Pet 2:4). But sin leads to death, so if everyone sins, everyone dies, because, sin's wages are death (Romans 6:23). There's nothing genetic about it. It's simply a logic problem: If x then y. If sin then death.
The word "imperfect" is not in the Bible. And, generally, when the Bible speaks of "perfect" or "perfection", it's talking about being complete or completely fulfilled, not perfect in the sense of flawless or sinless.

A Subtle Factor That Keeps Witnesses Silenced
by freemindfade inhad an interesting thought this morning.
when a witness is 'in' they think everyone else is following and trying there best all in unity.
i believe the reality is there are a lot of us 'in' who know different.

Much of this has to do with intimidation tactics. Notice the word "timid" is in intimidation. One invokes the other. -

Why do we get TTATT and others don't?
by quest81 ini have thought about how ttatt came full circle for me.
how the connecting the dots was simple and just made sense,.
how silos of information are literally at our fingertips today.. why is it that the ones we love cannot get ttatt?.

What Simon said. I would add that the trigger has to be something very important to the person. Something that actually matters to them personally.
