I agree. It's not hard to see who he is refering to as "other sheep which are not of this fold ... they will become one flock ,one shepherd (NOT 144,001) when you are not blinded by the wt teaching. Did Rutherford ever explain how, why he reached his conclusion of two classes or did he just state his conclusion as fact? Evidently, I don't remember ever reading any evidence.

Are You Blind to who the Sheep are?
by The Searcher inesus gave his apostles this command, "these twelve jesus sent forth, giving them these orders: "do not go off into the road of the nations, and do not enter into a samar itan city; but, instead, go continually to the lost sheep of the house of israel.
(matthew 10:5-6) he even applied it to himself, "i was not sent forth to any but to the lost sheep of the house of israel".
(matthew 15:24) at pentecost, peter's rousing speech to the jewish crowd confirmed what jesus had said, "to you first god, after raising up his servant, sent him forth to bless you by turning each one away from your wicked deeds.

Our family was Catholic when my Dad decided to leave and join the JWs. All of us were baptized as babes. I never made my first communion because I was too young when we left. Don't remember much about going to the Catholic Church. A few years after I was df'd from the organization, my friend asked me to go to some Church classes with her. I agreed to go just to get out of the house. I had always been told about how dumb the priests were so I thought I would see for myself. After a few months of studying with the priests and others, I began going to Mass. I found the priests and a woman who also attended the classes, to be very intelligent and knowledgeable people.I really got into the studies. I did find the Mass to be ritualistic. I also found that when you go, you go to praise and worship not to prove that what you believe is right and everyone else is wrong. I feel relaxed at Mass. They are also very supportative people. When my husband, who was not a Catholic died at a Catholic Hospital, the Social worker, who knew I was Catholic, sent a Nun to come see me. She put me in contact with the priests I had studied with and the priest helped me make arrangements for a Catholic Priest to conduct graveside sevices for my husband. I had him buried at our hometown, thousands of miles from where we were now living. They helped make everything smooth for me. In contrast, when my 30 year old brother-in-law died the elders refused to have anything to do with his burial because he had been df'd for smoking. His parents, his wife and most of the other members of the family were jws in good standing. My husband had to ask a worldy preacher friend to conduct his brothers sevice.I guess that's why I chose them. You have to have some support in this world!

How Many Years have your JW Relatives Shunned You ?
by flipper ini felt with newer members coming on and other jw fence sitters lurking it might be a good thing to explain what many of us have had to go through in regards to being shunned, cut off, ostracized from our jw families in an unjust way .
whether we are dfed or inactive - many of us have shared this same fate and ill treatment.
for many of us- it makes us stronger, more firmly entrenched that the decision we made to exit the jehovah's witness organization was the correct decision as no organization that claims to be " christian " would ever commit such horrid atrocities or justify it !

Lady Lee, looks like you and I have been shunned about the same number of years, nearly half of our lives. You certainly have a sad story. I just wonder what "normal" people would think about all these stories. They seem so
outrageous. For some reason, my mother never shunned me. I'm glad your aunt doesn't shun you. We all need someone in our family to speak to us.

they somehow magically determined in less than 1/2 an hour that I do not have a contrite heart.
00DAD, I was df'd the first time when I was 17. When the "Cuban Crisis" happened I was so scared. I was sure Armageddon was coming and I was a gonner. It was a little over a year since my disfellowshipment and a I had
attended meetings faithfully, when I approached the elder, who was not much older than me and had been my friend since childhood, about reinstatement. His answer to me was "Jehovah may have already forgiven you, but we
haven't" End of conversation. I was reinstated a couple of months later. It was a horrible year for a 17 year old. They would not even allow my mother to sit next to me. Does that sound like child abuse? These elders can mess up
your mind.

To Those of You Partaking at Home This Year. . .
by leavingwt in.
have you abandoned the wt idea of two classes of christians?
while still a believer, ray's books helped me to see that the idea of there being two classes of christians was a 'unique interpretation' of the watchtower society with no basis in scripture.

You people are witty and you make me laugh. I know the material may not make it to SNL, but to an XJW who can relate, it's good material, funny!

I no longer believe in two classes of Christians but when I was a JW, it was not that difficult to believe. When a person finally reads the scriptures without the organizations bent on them, you can see that it is just like outsiders
have always said: JWs take a scripture here and one there and make a doctrine out of it. It has no basis in scripture. The last time I attened a meeting, late 70s, with my JW sisters, who were visiting me, they were upset because I
would not go into the main hall; I sat in the ante room. I just could not bring myself to go in and listen to something I no longer believed. I will partake as I do every night. Tonight it's Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve
Sauvignon Blanc

I seriously wonder if you ever were part of the organisation panhandle, because that is not taught.
saliva is a great antiseptic for any cut or wound,, your blood is yours! not somebody elses....
maisha, I never said I believed swallowing your own blood was wrong, I agree that your blood is your blood, swallow to your hearts content. I was responding to the comments posted by others. Did you read them? As for me
being in the organization, although I don't have to respond to your allegations, I will. I have probabably forgotten more than you'll ever know about the organization. I was in from 1948 until around 1984. My entire family is in, If it
matters, I was considered for Bethel (thank God I didn't go). My mother was always proud of me because I always made 100% at the written review we used to have at the Ministry School. Two nephews at Bethel, several elders
in the family and two district servants. Large family in the organization. You must still be in to take such offense. My older sister was a regular pioneer and I pioneered every few months She was childless (and still in) She would
not allow her husband to become a circuit overseer because she did not like the way the CO's wives were treated, not enough respect; I had children. Apparently, you are also not a Registered Nurse, as I am, or you would
know, fingers in the mouth is a NO NO. You may get germs or inadvertenly spread them. Saliva for a cut or wound. They never taught us that in Nursing School.
