IS YOUR TEACHING UP-TO-DATE? - (WT Study Article for June 3-9, 2013)

in the watchtower study article for last week, june 3rd - 9th, 2013, the congregation was asked the question, "is your teaching up-to-date?".

there was a box on the top of page 9 that asked three questions allowing everyone to test themselves and find out if they had "up-to-date" and "accurate knowledge" in keeping with the "the ever-increasing light" as revealed through the pages of the watchtower magazine and related publications.

now at first blush this all sounds really good, but is it?

First thing I noticed was the 1994 and 1995 out dated WT.

Thank you for sharing incorrect errors in the WT.

Some lurkers need to have people like you to point them out.

i know this will never happen....but if the wtbs were to discontinue the practice of shunning, do you think their would be a mass exodus of those currently in the borg.

additionally, do you think some folks would still shun folks depiste it no longer being required by the borg?\.

There always people who choose to set an example even though doctrines change. They thrive on hate and thinking they are better. It is in their actions and behaviors.

Revelation chapter 19

chapter 19 of revelation states more then once that the great crowd, great multitude are in heaven.

so what lame excuse does the wt use to explain away this obvious contradiction of what they teach?.

If I recall the voices are heard in heaven. Like there so much singing and praying going on the earth that it is so loud it can be heard up in heaven.

somehow, the topic of cults came up and one of my neighbors said that the jw require 10% of their income to go to the church.

My exiting bible study the older sister qouted, "most people who do not believe that Jesus is Michael believe Jesus is Jehovah."

"Not everyone who reads the bible is given the abilty to discern scripture."

Listen to your daughter. You know her and her personal needs to share. She might just want to connect with you.

Some times the best way to handle a topic is to ignore it and let her answer it for you.

Mistranslated Scriptures

i'm looking for help with a list of scriptures that the jw's mistranslated.

i'm thinking this may help to wake some one up.

i can think of rev 1:9 rev.5:10 and in luke were they changed the wording to say covenant from appoint or bestow, but that all i know so far.

Too many scriptures, I only need to open up the NWT read it. Go hmmm, look it up in a different version.

How about how they abuse the bad association spoils useful habit.

Read the entire chapter and you will find the concept is twisted. They just abuse this doctrine sounds good though.

Is it really about the association or the conversation?

Paul was warning the new disciples to watch their converstion because they were still new and could be convinced easy against Jesus Christ. Paul did not tell them that association with pagans were bad association.But many bibles say bad association.

Now, how does the JW use it against their own people!

They make the people bad association when Paul just wanted them to change conversation. Throw out the bath water,conversation,not the baby,association.

Some times it really is looking at concepts they twisted.

Recently, I had to look something up an the NWT found an entire thought wrong. I believe it had something to do with independent thinking. Not in the other bibles. Exerciseing faith. Exercise was not there.

How can all Christian groups be approved by Jehovah when they all teach contradictory doctrine? Jehovah HAD to narrow it down to one.

Walker you do realize that Peter and Paul had different thoughts. They were considered two Christian groups but had taught about Jesus Christ.

Do you agree that the majority of of the early congregations were set up by Paul?

If you study those early congregations they had different types of teachings but were taught about Jesus Christ.The main topic was about Jesus Christ he was born, resurrected,and ascended. Different congregations called Christianity did not all teach the same thing but had a common thread, and that thread was Jesus Christ. I been to a lot of churches and they use Jehovah as Gods name. Any how congregations do not need that unity as taught by JWs. We are all parts of the body of Christ and can have different views. What a wonderful blessed people. What the Jehovahs Witnesses teach is you need one representive,organization, here on earth. That is false if you consider the early congregations all with different names. They were not all called Kingdom Halls. Your teaching communism without knowing it. Granted you think the Jehovahs Witnesses taught you to love Jehovah, but maybe you did prior to studying with someone? The Jehovhs Witnesses teach they are the spiritual Israelites, the 12 tribes. They did a shabby job of explaining Ezekiel's temple. Take notes they are not fullfilling Ezekiel's visions. You need to continue your deep studying but write down questions and read the bible not WTBTS books and magazines. Your here for a reason.

Why WT translates Parousia as "Presence" and not "Coming" (Matt. 24:3)?

wt had translated "parousia" as presence instead of "coming".

it has explained time and again that in 1914, jesus came invisibly and since then, we are living in the last days under his invisible presence.. now i was a bit puzzled if that would really be the appropriate translation after reading matthew 28:19, 20.. 19 "therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit,20and teaching them to obey everything i have commanded you.

and surely i am with you always, to the very end of the age.".

Religions make up doctrines to mess with your head and suck out your brains then make you give money. Did we pay for someone to make us stupid.
