Hey kids look at the silver man and woman! Crazy people.

Z- that is the problem owning ones company it takes a lot of time. There were a lot of honest people trying to start up companies and working nights. Exhausting work with long hours. Hard working ones who were too tired to attend so they were marked as not active. Also, most probably were not thinking about pension plans if they worked for a large company. Sad!

Infinity and god - why wait to create the universe?

here's the problem with infinity ... we can't comprehend it.. it's bad enough when it's space, but when it's time as well and then we throw in some all powerful creature supposedly existing forever ... well, it just doesn't make sense and raises questions.. such as why wait?

why didn't god create the universe the day before he did?

or the day before that?

Ok so how could you get rid of day because they were before time and gravity in infinity. Perhaps on the fourth day of infinity God created a portion of the universe, sun and moon, gravity or was it the stars. Time was created for humankind and the seasons. Without the sun, moon, and stars there was no time, eternity. Infinity is the same as eternity? Day and night in Gods eternity is not like day and night with time needed for mankind.

Maybe science and creation go together.

Sorry I am limited on science and creation wish I had more. This is as far as my mind can wrap around the topic.

Friend With A Jehovah Witness For 5yrs?

it's basically what the topic says, the first two years we had a beautiful relationship.

religion never came up and we almost had everything in common.

she did bring up religion (i don't know why if it was so important to her that she decided to wait 2yrs to bring up religion in the first place) after she started to try to preach to me the very next day once she realized that we didn't share the same beliefs.

This whole situation did make me see less of are friendship though.

For a JW it would be see less of this person.

Rule of thumb.

As soon as you talked against the society you were considered MARKED and to be avoided. If you had too many debates.

Normal good JWs are taught to walk away. Marking:You go off to Jesus at judgement day because the righteous believe in the good news. Most would not debate any more with you and shake the dirt off their feet feet then move on.

It is a wonder that she talks with you so she is avoiding any religious issues.

She has been preaching to you for three years turning in her time. They get sneaky and agree with you a lot so you will agree with them. JWs really are taught to not debate because they are teaching. They share information and it is up to you to believe or reject it.

You rejected the good news she offerred.

Do not be surprise that you get her JW friend to knock on your door.

Trying to talk to JWs causes anxiety and will stress you out.

Hard to be a true friend with them because they have motive and that is turning in time.

In her mind one is not friends with the world.

There are some JWs that do not practise everything. Fake JWs.

They really are not suppose to have wordly friends. The ones who do are looked down on.

She has been a friend for five years makes me wonder a few things.

the danger of apostacy

undoubtely the biggest crime in watchtower world is apostacy.

the upcoming dc apparently has quite some parts on this issue.. recently i read a book from the philosopher hubert schleichert, the title is something like "how to discuss with fundumantelist without loosing your mind".. he goes into fanatics of all kind, and shows, why apostates are so dangerous for any ideology, may it be religious or even political.. the reason: any strong ideology is convinced of possesing the truth.

this creates a problem, since apparantly not everybody accepts this belief or ideology.

What on earth happened to the magazines?

for the first time in years today.

to say that it took me five minutes to read the whole thing would be to flatter the rag.

it doesn't even seem to contain actual articles any more, just headings and bullet points and pictures.

Out with the old....

i purchased a condo late last year and due to my personal schedule, i wasn't able to redo it to my preferance until a few months ago.

all the heavy work is done.

now just replacing electrical outlets, fixtures and such.

I sold mine to book store with notes written thru them.

Also some antique ones I took to a local book store. Gave them away for free, he found an exjw who collected them and bought them in bulk. Good cause.

But I tell you it was hard to get rid of them because the hours of research.

So happy I did.

I wasted too many hours.
