  Ran into two JW's in service today, I was on !!!, it was classic !!!

  well, for some reason i was up extra early today, understand i am night person and usually sleep to 11 or so today i was up at 9 and decided to take the dogs out before it got to hot outside.

  i hadn't been gone 3 minutes and as i came out of my street onto another i bumped into 2 jw's (females) getting out of their suv.

  they asked do you have a couple of minutes.

  Wish I could have seen that! Maybe a teeny tiny seed was planted, one nagging little doubt, maybe, just maybe, they'll dare check out these demonized web sites to find out what you were talking about.

  Today was my D-Day ... I beat the odds!

  last year on july 15th, 2002, my cardiologist gave me less than a year to live.

  with the 14 remaining blocked arteries, there was not much hope.

  even a by-pass would only correct 3 or 4 arteries and give me a slight lease on life.

  Congratulations Amazing! I was going to recommend the Dr. Ornish diet for reversing heart disease, he seems to have some pretty solid science behind it.

  It has demons! Burn it!

  did any jw's ever sieze anything you owned due to demonic possesion?

  did they ever burn anything to free it of demons?

  my mother was and is famous for this.

  What memories! When I was a teenager we lived in a house on the outskirts of town, with a large field behind it. It kinda became "Exorcism Central" back there. A pioneer couple, super zealous, the husband cleaning windows all his life, (still doing it and they're in their late fifties, she has severe back problems but they can't afford physiotherapy or chiropractic treatment or anything that could help) - anyway, they studied with this illiterate woman who was a medium. Her uncle and other members of her family read tea leaves and were into other "demonic" clairvoyant practices. Naturally, this meant of course that this poor woman was totally demonized. Every problem she had was put down to the demons. She was able to eventually learn to read, but her difficulty in doing so was obviously the fault of the demons.

  She got rid of furniture, dishes, gifts given to her by her "demonized" family, all of which was carted off to the field in back of our house and burned. Of course, super-zealous pioneer couple would pray before each bonfire so there was no problem with the stuff burning up, 'cause Jehoover was certainly pleased that they asked him to make sure the terrible demons didn't put their hands in the fire and protect all their precious objects.

  Burning her stuff wasn't good enough however, because she still had problems with the demons. So she had to leave her house and move into an apartment, even get new clothes, 'cause you just can't trust those pesky demons.

  Wel, all her money is gone, she's in a retirement home now and the super-zealous pioneer couple are wreaking havoc with other people's lives in a different assignment.

  Restaurant and theater managers often request that their clients refrain from using mobile phones.

  I eat out frequently, from small family run ethnic restaurants to 4 and 5 star establishments. I have never ever been asked to turn off my cell phone in a restaurant. With so business people meeting for breakfasts, lunches and suppers I can't see how a restaurant's manager would want to anger a large part of the clientele by asking that mobile phones not be used.

  In theatres / concerts / operas we are asked to turn off the phones or switch to vibrate mode.

  I'm so sorry for what they did to you Rebel. This is the place to vent, if you need to, and we'll listen. No matter what they say or what they did to you, you are still the loving, honourable person you always were. Maybe that threatens them. Don't go away for too long.

  Took a Severe Beating Last Night.

  last night some whacko beat me up while i was in bed.

  nothing is broken, but i'll be seriously bruised for a while.

  my left shoulder blade took the most of the beating when i had huddled face down, with legs tucked underneath and arms wrapped around my head and ribs for protection.

  Geez, Yizuman, I'm so sorry to hear what happened to you. My thoughts are with you - I hope you land a job soon. Does the mission help with job-hunting? Is there another place i.e. employment agency, that you go to for help in the job hunt?

  just for the fun of it, i typed my aka (outoftheorg) into the msn search engine.

  it brought up one of the lasts posts i put on this forum.

  i tried it on google and got nothing.. then i put in outnfree on msn and 3 of his posts on this forum were displayed.. it only displays the title of the thread/post and the url.. what do you think?

  Intellectually Lazy

  anyone else here care to admit they would rather let others do the difficult research for them?

  once in the psycho hospital, we played a "game".

  (keep in mind that games in such settings were either only a means to keep us from killing ourselves or the other inmates between smoke breaks, or to assist us in gaining insight into our natures (this was never the case except in the following instance.).

  I know what you mean about AlanF, I'm sure my new prescription for glasses is due to the beating my eyeballs have taken in the last year reading his essays/critiques/posts (here and elsewhere). What I kept wondering is where on earth did he find the time for all that? I can barely keep up with just reading the posts, let alone answering many of them, never mind answering them in the manner of AlanF.

  However, what I'd like to know is

  I guess what I mean is that if you came to a party at my house, you'd usually see a variety of people doing perfectly normal things like yakking, eating, drinking, arguing and getting rowdy.

  okay, Alan, can you salsa/merengue/cha cha (please say no - then I'll feel better).

  Actually I'm not down on myself in this post - you just have to find something you love. I'm taking part-time classes at university now, (since I was such an obedient little dub back in the 70s and never went when I graduated from high school) - I love it and it shows in my marks. Find what you love, Beryl, then the time you'll invest in it won't seem like work, you'll feel as though you're on vacation - plus have the satisfaction of doing something really well. It doesn't matter if it's making sushi or knitting or discovering a cure for AIDS - we're all here to pool our talents and feel good about ourselves - after all, the doctors and researchers working on cures for diseases need to eat, and wear clothes, and be entertained, and now I'm rambling. Sorry about that.

  Beryl, I always enjoy your posts, you're sensitive and kind. If I need a hug one day I'll go to you; if I need to figure out 607 B.C. vs. 587 B.C. I'll look up AlanF (not that I'm saying he can't give good hugs also, but .. you know what I mean!)

  Finally, what drove me to searching on the internet about the WTS and finally seeing the "truth" about it, wasn't intellectual starvation or questions, it was the lack of love and hypocrisy in the congregations and organization as a whole. Intellectualism has its place, love should be in first place, and I think you've got your priorities straight Beryl.

  hi everyone...the director/creator of the series family secrets for the w network canada sent me a copy of the 1/2 documentary on my story/book/family...[father's touch; donald d'haene and family].

  well, it is fricken amazing.... the reason she sent it is 'cause i asked for a minute demo to use for another top secret project i'm working on with an american author.

  well, she thought my idea was just great so she sent me the whole tape.

  i have read here in some posts that one of the new releases this year is a brochure, "look!

  ", containing maps.. when it was released, does anyone know if the speaker mentioned how much better the maps in the brochure were than "worldly maps"?.

  If we have a worldly map in our homes, will we levitate off the bed while our heads spin around? Is the first step towards apostacy having a worldly map in your homes????

  LOL!!!

  I hope my house isn't floating around over the neighbourhood - I have a box full of National Geographic maps plus a brand-spanking new ATLAS - a whole dang book full of [worldly] maps - that much demonic-inspired literature is surely enough to levitate a building!
