Can't you call the police and have charges of trespassing laid against the woman? She didn't leave when you told her to do so, that's trespassing, and possibly harrassment?

i told the woman right off i was 'apostate' and had no intention of changing it.
she kept asking me personal questions which i told her were none of her business and she said she would have the elders come by and i told her that if they came by the better be wearing bullet proof vests!

Swan: I was going to mention the same thing regarding carnivorous animals.
The Bible explains that in the paradise in Eden God gave to "every wild beast of the earth and to every flying creature of the heavens . . . all green vegetation for food." (Gen. 1:30) Later all of the basic kinds of land animals lived in Noah’s ark for a whole year without devouring one another. And evidently drawing on the conditions that existed in Eden and that will be restored in the future, God’s Word says: "The cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra . . . They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain."—Isa. 11:7-9.
Basically telling the R&F that the GB hasn't the foggiest idea about anything, but that these myths are real and you just better believe it! They dug themselves into such a hole over nothing when they came up with the gem that all animals were vegetarians that now of course they have to save face (once again) and accuse anyone who sees the evidence as disproving their outlandish claims as lacking faith in Jehovah.

This is absolutely awful! I am so sick to think I used to blindly support this foul organization - there are no depths to which they won't stoop!

I Just Don't "Fit" Anywhere!
by pettygrudger ini'm sitting at work today, listening to all the different "cliques" around me, typing here on these boards a bit (don't tell), and it occurred to me again that i just don't fit.. .
it seems like i don't "fit" anywhere.
i'm always on the outskirts of alot of "groups", always on the fringe, but never inside.

she mentioned it last night at the restaurant to Ascot & JH.
Actually, I think she said that you weren't normal a couple of times!! But from our conversation, I like your kind of "not normal", and I'm pretty sure I'd like Pettygrudger also. I too have always seemed to be on the outside looking in, but lately I've noticed that it's mostly with JWs, not others who are not always trying to prove themselves or keep from saying things that may get them in trouble, etc.
What's great about this place is that we find so many others who feel just as we do.

What a wonderful, beautiful person you describe in Megan. These next steps in the grieving process will be hard. I hope you always find this place to be a safe haven for you and your thoughts.
I don't know if dreams mean something or not. At times I've had powerful and enlightening dreams - if Megan seemed distant in your dream, maybe she is giving you "permission" to move on, at your own pace. She loved you enough during her lifetime with you to now let you go - and enable you to make your life over in whatever way you need or see fit.
Hang in there Larry, and hug your babies for us.

Went to my first "get together"
by JH ini just came back from my first "get together" with very nice people who post here on jwd.
i had dinner at a restaurant in montreal and enjoyed the company of scully, her two girls, ascot, guest77 and his wife, and ladylee.
it's pleasant to get to know people who post here on jwd, expecially when we can meet them in person.

It's actually "ACSOT" (Tosca, the opera, backwards), but I think I'll change it to Ascot since that is what everyone uses, or maybe Mascot as Guest77 suggested!
How about "Does Kleenex work as well as toilet paper?" (does that constitute a "fluff" topic?)

Good Grief how do you people manage to post so quickly???? JH - what time did you get home?? How did the cat react? Mine were hungry and demanding - ah, cats - they sure know how to put you in your place.
Yeah, it was wonderful to meet everyone. The food was good, the company great, the conversation went from sharing experiences, sad and funny (who else can understand why a two-door car unleashes feelings of guilt?) to just getting to know each other a bit better.
I think JH even has a couple of extra questions to ask now!
Guest77 - thanks for the gift, I'll let you know if I start putting and driving one of these days, without knocking myself out in the process.
No pics, but Skully's daughter drew us some pics and did some cute little origami gifts for us.
LadyLee: Winnipeg is now on my list of places to visit.
Mouthy: wish you could have been there, and if I ever get to Toronto you can be sure I'll hop over to St. Jacobs.
Hope we get together again some time!

Gunfire in New York City Hall
by Brummie in2 policemen shot, it looks like an attempt to assasinate the new york mayor.
apparently he is safe.. i would have loved to live in new york a few years ago.
it looks like its the most dangerous place to live right now, not because of the current attempt to shoot the mayor but because it is the centre of worl attention and any nut case wanting world attention simply has to do some act of terrrorism there.. would you live there?.

I'm glad the mayor is okay, and ditto Yeru re Giuliani.
Personally I absolutely love New York City - I find New Yorkers to be some of the nicest, most helpful, friendliest people I have ever met. I just wish our Canadian dollar would increase in value relative to the US one, I'd visit New York again in a heartbeat.
Of course, my favourite things to do on vacation are: opera, symphony, ballet, museums, theatre. So it's a no-brainer as to why I love New York so much. Plus Zabar's of course. And the Bronx Zoo.
Sh&t, this is making me homesick for the Big Apple.

Wishing you all the best. A friend of mine had valve replacement, he's recovered well and is now back at work full time. Not to minimize the recovery, it's painful, but it is a very common procdure nowadays, as others have mentioned.
Keep us updated!
